Chapter 195: Arrange a Psychologist for Her
“No…” Qin Youxuan exhaled softly, her uncontrollable emotions seemingly soothed all at once.
She obediently let Dan Hanjie lead her, returning to the bedside.
“You’re tired, sleep for a while, and everything will be alright when you wake up.”
“Where are you going?”
“I’ll stay with you.”
Only upon hearing his promise did Qin Youxuan obediently climb into bed and lie down.
Her large eyes remained unblinking, her petite body shifting to the edge of the narrow sickbed, waiting for Dan Hanjie to join her.
Only when Dan Hanjie also lay on the bed did she quickly curl into his embrace, her hand immediately embracing his waist, sealing her eyes contentedly.
Dan Hanjie gently patted her back until he heard even breathing from her.
The doctor quietly approached from the side, passing the tranquilizer in his hand to Dan Hanjie.
“The first murder resulting in a psychological barrier, arrange for a psychologist for her.” Dan Hanjie tossed the empty syringe onto the table casually, and coldly ordered.
“And also, if today’s happenings were to leak out, you all know the consequences!”
The doctors respectfully moved Qin Youxuan off the sickbed and promptly arranged a diagnosis.
“Mr. Jie, your wound has reopened. It needs immediate attention.” Yao cautiously reminded him from the side.
Upon seeing that Dan Hanjie did not respond, he immediately let someone untie the bloodstained bandage, only reapplying it after the wound had been cleaned.
“Give me a cigarette.” Dan Hanjie lounged on the sickbed and arched an eyebrow in request.
Before Yao could dissuade him, he was met with Dan Hanjie’s glare, and obediently handed over a cigarette.
Blue-white smoke exhaled from his sensual lips, and a shadow seemed to cross Dan Hanjie’s eyes.
“Did you clear up the situation?”
“We have already sent someone to investigate the explosives planted on the helicopter immediately. It was confirmed to be an inside job. The person responsible was dealt with in the same manner, strapped to a helicopter. But, he didn’t reveal the name of the person who assigned the task even at his last breath.”
“So, you’re saying we still haven’t identified the one trying to kill me?” Dan Hanjie’s voice turned decidedly colder and irritation was evident on his face.
“Mr. Jie, this trip to America was kept secret from start to end. Even your decision to return to our country with Miss Qin was a spur-of-the-moment plan. Since everything was so meticulously arranged, they probably started watching us from the moment we set out.”
“At least you’re using your head.” Dan Hanjie smirked, his eyes glinting dangerously. “I only told that old man about my trip to America, only he knows about my whereabouts. It can’t be anyone else.”
“Mr. Jie, are you implying…”
“He couldn’t hold back in the end, and took action.” Dan Hanjie took a harsh drag, stubbing out the butt on the table. “Let him be told that if he has held back all these years, he better continue. He shares my blood. If he pushes me too hard, I am liable to do some crazy things.”
“Also, issue my orders, anonymously, to buy all the Dan Group shares that have been issued!”
“Yes!” Yao gave a stoic nod, “There is one other matter, Mr. Jie. MC Group is making moves.”
“Fico City is Dan Clan’s crowning jewel, yet just a few days ago, the CEO of MC suddenly held a press conference. They plan to officially penetrate the domestic market, and their first choice of location is Fico City.”
