Chapter 225: I Really Have Something to Say
“Does my current state count as evading punishment, amping up my crimes?” Qin Youxuan swallowed her food and asked nervously.
“You only feel fear now, yesterday you dared to follow me.” Dan Hanjie’s voice was very deep, carrying a touch of jest.
“I trust you, you won’t just stand by and watch me go to jail, right?”
“Why not?” Dan Hanjie smirked, the inscrutable gleam in his eyes alluring, “It seems that it’s not worth the trouble saving a cat.”
She wasn’t just any cat, she was a cat with sleep-enhancing properties, capable of acting as a pillow.
He’s the real cat — his whole family is!
“Mr. Jie, all arrangements have been made.” Yao swiftly entered the dining room and respectfully reminded him.
“Stay home and wait for my return.” Dan Hanjie stood up from the dining table, leaned over it, and pecked her soft lips.
He turned and left first.
Yao respectfully nodded towards Qin Youxuan, then quickly left.
Qin Youxuan, having eaten and drunk her fill but unable to go out, returned to her room.
She had the butler place a tatami on the balcony for her to nest on while studying criminal law.
She was trying hard to recall the incident, wondering what she might have overlooked…
For several days, Dan Hanjie kept returning home late.
The moment he got back, he’d pull Qin Youxuan into bed, tiring her out so much that she didn’t feel like talking.
And first thing in the morning, he’d be gone.
Qin Youxuan had no idea what he was doing.
She couldn’t go out, and Dan Hanjie wouldn’t let anyone else in.
It felt like being in jail, just in a more comfortable and beautiful cage, with a lecherous warden.
Luckily Dan Hanjie wasn’t stopping her from contacting Ning Yanan. Even though they couldn’t meet, at least she could get a sense of what was going on outside.
Upon learning that she was safe, that Dan Hanjie had taken her to Yujing Villa, the frantic Ning Yanan finally found some comfort and started gathering information for her.
“Dan Hanjie, I’ve thought of something, but I’m not sure if it’s related to this incident.” Qin Youxuan, awakened again by their night “drills”, nestled in his arms to catch her breath after their intense session.
Resting her little hand on his chest, she managed to speak before exhaustion took over.
“Seems like you’re not too tired?” Dan Hanjie said nonchalantly.
Qin Youxuan quickly sensed danger and held his hand, “Dan Hanjie, I can’t go on, I really have something to say.”
“I remember that a few days before the incident, Meng Ziqi strangely brought me a cup of juice to drink, saying she wanted to reconcile with me. That said, she stayed at the Qin Family every day… and then Jin Lan went crazy and tried to kill me.”
She wasn’t sure if the two events were related, she was just recounting all the suspicious incidents during that time.
Better to tell too much than to miss something important.
“Meng Ziqi likes Jin Chenye, she knows that I used to date him, but now…”
