“Because I want to help you,” Dan Hanjie said, his words falling like cold hard ice cubes.
His narrowed gaze took pleasure in Meng Ziqi’s shock.

Dan Hanjie lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and blew the smoke into her face, causing Meng Ziqi to cough violently while not daring to dodge.
She waited patiently for him to speak.
“Go explain to the police yourself. What really happened, and how Qin Youxuan should be acquitted. I just want to hear that she is freed.” The ember at the tip of his cigarette was flickering, illuminating Dan Hanjie’s ruthless face like blood-lust and indifference.
He gently patted Meng Ziqi’s desperate face, “Don’t worry, hear me out.”

She was still holding the prisoner uniform that Dan Hanjie had just instructed the butler to give her.
From the back seat, the car door was pushed open quickly. Dan Hanjie got out of the car, saw her still shaken in place, furrowed his brows, “Where did it hit?”
“…No, it didn’t hit me.”
“Then next time run faster, ideally till you crash into a pulp.”
Seeing him continuously staring at the suit in her arms, Qin Youxuan suddenly remembered, held up the suit, “Dan Hanjie, why did you have someone send me this suit?”
“Eat first. After the meal, I’ll take you back to prison.”
