“You still firmly believe that I stabbed Meng Ziqi and shoved Jin Lan down the stairs. Jin Chenye, when did you ever trust me? When I was abandoned and helpless in prison, you never considered trusting or even saving me. So, why are you pretending to be in pain now? This will only make me see you as a hypocrite!”
“Whatever tricks you have, bring them on. As you said, I’ve made up my mind. If I can’t have Qin Group, I’d rather destroy it.”
Qin Youxuan coldly snickered, crossed by him, and walked upstairs.
In the past, she only wanted to fight for Qin Group as revenge for her mother.
Now, she fights for Qin Group for herself.
Jin Lan destroyed her family and even tried to take her life. Jin Chenye wants to possess what Jin Lan was protecting, and she will not give in easily!
Just as Qin Youxuan left, the assistant walked briskly into the living room, respectfully bowing, “Boss, the car is ready.”
“Have MC start preparing for the collaboration with Qin Group. Additionally, be discreet in acquiring all the dispersed stocks issued by Qin Group. I want to become the third-largest shareholder of Qin Group besides my father and Qin Youxuan within the shortest possible timeframe.”
Jin Chenye stood there elegantly in silence.
Clothed in a white suit, he looked graceful and handsome. However, the coldness in his eyes was frosty and distant.
A faint smile played on the corner of his lips, his warm aura completely vanished, leaving just a deadly silence.
“If there aren’t enough dispersed stocks, approach Qin Group’s minor shareholders. Persuade them to sell their shares by any means necessary.” With a trace of sinister chill in Jin Chenye’s eyes, each word was clear and sharp as if carving into ice.
Without waiting for the assistant to respond, he quickly strode away.
Not a single hesitation or lingering feeling.
Qin Youxuan slammed the closet shut, threw her pajamas onto the bed, and leaned against the wardrobe.
Replaying Jin Chenye’s words in her mind, she closed her tired eyes.
“Who’s that?” A silhouette flashed past the window, causing Qin Youxuan to be greatly alarmed. She tightened her fist.
Before she could react, she felt a broad chest beneath her, filled with a familiar scent which caused her to immediately stop struggling.
“With such a low alertness, it’s not surprising that you were exploited when you were plotted against.” Dan Hanjie’s seductive voice rang low in her ears, he lowered his head, gently licking and biting her earlobe.
Qin Youxuan let out a low groan, gently pushing his chest. “Dan Hanjie, this is my home, how did you get here?”
And he even climbed through the window.
“Where do you want to go?”
Qin Youxuan barely applied any force before Dan Hanjie held her up, ready to take her to the bed.
“I haven’t bathed yet.”
“You can bathe later.”
“I haven’t eaten yet.”
“I’ll feed you after I’m full.”
Seeing her ineffective struggle and his lips about to descend on hers, Qin Youxuan abruptly spoke, “Dan Hanjie, can you tell me how you got Meng Ziqi to change her testimony?”
Dan Hanjie paused, his bewitching eyes narrowing as he intently stared at the woman beneath him.
For a couple of seconds, it seemed as if he was trying to see right through her.
He abruptly withdrew from her, pulled her up from the bed, and held her close, speaking in a deep voice.
“Why are you asking about this again?”
He picked up a strand of her hair, wound it around his long fingers, and his tone was indifferent.
“Meng Ziqi clearly saw with her own eyes that it was Jin Lan who wanted to kill me. Even she was accidentally injured by Jin Lan’s fit of rage. I understand that she wanted to set me up and curry favor with Jin Chenye, so she concealed Jin Lan’s actions. But it’s illogical for her to confess so easily.”
