She had just received a call from the company; some information needed her confirmation and they asked her to come back as soon as she could.
But before she could even leave the Dan Group, he had brought her back to Yujing Villa.
And now she had been sitting here all this while, staring as he transformed the whole living room into a study, completely immersed in his work — she felt like a piece of the decor.
And with dinner time approaching, he showed no signs of letting her go.
“Hungry already?” Dan Hanjie lifted his gaze leisurely from his files. With deep, black eyes, he glanced at her pouting face and then, his lips curled slightly.
“I need to go home for dinner.” Qin Youxuan responded, puffing her cheeks.
She had been trying to come up with an excuse to leave, and voìla, she found one.
“Order the housekeeper to prepare dinner. You can eat here.” Dan Hanjie said calmly, and glanced at Yao.
“Understood.” Yao, the shadowy figure, turned around and headed into the kitchen.
In no time, they saw the servants starting to lay the table with dish after dish.
Being the dining room adjoined to the living room, Qin Youxuan could see it all at one glance.
“No need for that. I should be getting home; it’s about time. Besides, I am not sure what the situation is at the company. I need to check that too.” Qin Youxuan said, already standing up from the sofa.
She had been sitting for too long; she was almost asleep.
“Come here.” Dan Hanjie glanced at her with a wanton look and reached out his hand.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms, lowering his head to nibble her lips, “So, impatient.”
Typically, he was playing the tyrant, yet he was painting her as the aggressor now.
Qin Youxuan pursed her lips, “You are so busy anyway, it’s better I don’t stay here and bother you. We can talk when you’re done.”
“I’m already done. Stay for dinner with me.”
Dan Hanjie casually closed the file he’d been reading, and pushed it to the side.
Watching Dan Hanjie lying blatantly, Qin Youxuan was at a loss for words.
Even after the meal was over, Dan Hanjie still had his arms around her and wasn’t letting go.
Qin Youxuan was getting agitated, she pushed his arm and bit her lip “Dan Hanjie, I really need to go now. It’s getting dark and it would be difficult to flag down a cab.”
So, that was his plan all along.
“I’m waiting for an outcome that concerns the Qin Group. Stay with me.” Dan Hanjie announced domineeringly, pulling Qin Youxuan back onto the couch.
