“How did your hand get injured?!” As Bai Wei came to her senses, she instantly rushed up to Dan Hanjie, trying to reach for his hand, but he sidestepped to avoid her.
Dan Hanjie narrowed his eyes and turned to stride towards his study, blatantly ignoring the worry in Bai Wei’s eyes.

The light in Bai Wei’s eyes slowly dimmed.
She stood still, not moving a muscle.
She watched, paralyzed, as Dan Hanjie allowed his wound to bleed freely and walked into his study.
Bai Wei hesitated for a while before entering the master bedroom.
She glanced at the empty room and was momentarily stunned.
She had expected to see Qin Youxuan, but instead found the room in a state of disarray.
The mirror on the dresser was completely shattered, leaving irregular streaks of blood on the wooden frame. The table was smeared with a pool of fresh blood that kept dripping onto the floor…

Upon stepping into the pitch-black study, Bai Wei was startled, clasping her hand over her mouth to suppress a scream.
Fumbling, she pulled out her phone, turning on the flashlight to illuminate the room and compose herself.
Her voice quivered with the edge of tears, “Jie, it’s so dark in here, where are you…”
