Chapter 354: Don’t Come Over!
Dan Hanjie removed a fruit knife from the fruit plate on the table and tossed it onto the tabletop. “The score from last time is also due, one finger, do you want to do it yourself or should I have someone do it for you?”
Upon hearing his words, Bai Wei widened her eyes in fright and immediately dropped to the ground.
With a vacant stare at her own fingers.
She shook her head fiercely, crying and pleading, “No, I will never dare to do it again. Jie, we’ve known each other for so many years. You promised my brother to take good care of me. You wouldn’t be this cruel to me, right?”
“I’ve given you chances, which you didn’t treasure. Wei’er, my patience is limited.” Dan Hanjie turned his back, backed off a few steps and gazed down at her from above.
Bai Wei was completely dumbfounded.
She incredulously lifted her head, even forgetting to cry.
The man who was once so indulgent to her had turned cold and ruthless, all because of another woman.
Bai Wei gnashed her teeth bitterly. If she’d known it’d come to this, she would’ve had that wretched woman killed right at the beginning!
“Seems like you need my help.” Dan Hanjie walked forward, reaching out to pick up the knife.
Instinctively, Bai Wei recoiled back, but her back hit the sofa cushion and there was no place to retreat.
As soon as Bai Wei’s gaze touched the gleaming blade, her pupils contracted. Before Dan Hanjie could pick up the knife, she grabbed it and tightly held onto it.
There was a flicker in Dan Hanjie’s eyes. Withdrawing his hand, he stood straight and watched her.
Bai Wei, wild-looking, gripped the small knife tightly and waved it frantically, pushing back the bodyguards nearby to prevent anyone from coming forward and pinning her down.
“Everyone, back off! Stay away from me! Whoever comes forward, I’ll kill him!”
“Wei’er, after being missing for a few years, you have indeed become smarter.” Dan Hanjie coldly watched her actions, neither comforted nor mocking, his detached tone sent shivers down the spine.
With just a pause, he advanced.
“Mr. Jie, be careful!”
Yao nervously warned from the side.
His body tensed, wishing he could subdue the frantic Bai Wei within a second.
A few bodyguards signaled him to move forward, but they were repeatedly scratched by Bai Wei.
“Everyone, back off!” Dan Hanjie shouted coldly, and all action ceased.
All of them formed a circle, the center of which was Bai Wei, with the knife in her hand.
She held the knife handle dumbfoundedly, not knowing what to do next, only instinctively fearing whether Dan Hanjie would really have her fingers cut off.
Seeing him advance, she kept retreating.
“Get out of the way, if you come any closer, I will really kill you.”
“Isn’t that good? After all, I owe your brother a life, there’s never been a chance to pay it back. If I can die by your hands, his sister, it would be considered repayment.” Dan Hanjie crooked his lips wickedly, speaking slowly and clearly.
“What, you don’t dare to do it? If you kill me, I guarantee no one will lay a finger on you, and you won’t have to worry about your brother losing his life to save me anymore.”
Dan Hanjie moved even closer. His chest was already touching the blade Bai Wei held outward.
The sharp blade pierced his shirt and pressed into his flesh, but Dan Hanjie remained indifferent to the pain and continued to step forward.
Bai Wei quickly retreated, trying to move the blade away. Dan Hanjie swiftly extended his hand to grab her wrist.
He gripped her hand, pushed forward and the sharp knife plunged into his chest.
The sound of the blade piercing the flesh was particularly horrifying.
Blood quickly stained his shirt and dripped onto the ground.
