Chapter 363: Thought You Were in Love
“Make sure everyone at the Qin Family’s house keeps a close eye on things. Don’t allow other tomcats near Qin Youxuan’s room or don’t bother coming back to see me!”
“Yes.” Yao rubbed his nose smugly, not daring to say another word.
Qin Youxuan got up early.
After a simple tidy up, she put on a short skirt paired with a white pearl collared blouse, adding a rather large belt at the waist.
Her gorgeous long hair was curled at the ends, exuding a sense of natural, wild beauty.
However, the large dark circles under her eyes were quite a distraction.
Qin Youxuan bit her lip and remained indecisive for a moment, and then sat down in front of her vanity mirror, dabbing some powder on her face.
She applied a very light, thin layer of makeup to cover the dark circles under her eyes.
Assured that there were no errors, she then took another lap around the room, tidying up and arranging things as necessary.
“OK! I can go for breakfast now.”
Qin Youxuan admired her reflection in the mirror with satisfaction, clapping her hands together in delight. She was determined to impress Dan Hanjie!
“Miss, what would you like for breakfast today?”
“The usual, and an additional cup of warm milk, please. Thank you, Butler.”
“Miss, your smiles are beautiful today, it’s as if you’re in love.” The Butler joked seeing her in a good mood.
“Really?” The smile on Qin Youxuan’s lips froze, and she reached out to touch her own face.
A puzzled frown appeared on her forehead.
Did her smile today really imply that she was in love?
“Why does someone look their best when they are in love?” Qin Youxuan turned to the Butler, her curiosity piqued.
“It seems the Miss’s Hong Luan Star is truly active.”
The Butler couldn’t help but laugh out loud, only managing to stop when he saw Qin Youxuan’s face had turned red from embarrassment, “One dresses up for the one they love. This doesn’t merely mean physical appearance, but also demeanor. You usually seem so listless when trying to get you up early, but today you look exceptionally energetic.”
Was she being that obvious?
Qin Youxuan lowered her gaze to the table without giving the Butler another chance to engage in the discussion.
She wasn’t in love. She was already married to Dan Hanjie. The Butler got it entirely wrong.
“Auntie, am I disturbing you by coming so early?” A female voice echoed from the direction of the living room.
The soft, murmuring voice of Jin Lan could be faintly heard as well.
Qin Youxuan was taken aback. There was no need to ask, Meng Ziqi had come again.
Indeed, she was relentless.
Without having the chance to sigh, she heard the sound of a wheelchair moving in the direction of the dining room.
Qin Youxuan instinctively stood up.
Honestly, she really didn’t want to see Meng Ziqi.
Every time she saw Meng Ziqi’s flattery towards Jin Lan and her attempts to pacify Jin Chenye, it reminded her how her best friend backstabbed her and stole her boyfriend.
Even though Jin Chenye was no longer related to her and whatever Meng Ziqi did to seek her happiness was none of her business, seeing Meng Ziqi always made her feel uncomfortable.
“Miss, your breakfast is ready.”
Just as Qin Youxuan was pondering whether to avoid Meng Ziqi, the Butler had already walked out of the kitchen with her breakfast in his hands.
Seeing her standing, he looked doubtfully towards the entrance of the dining room, “Miss, are you waiting for someone?”
“No, I just heard footsteps and was curious, so I stood up to have a look.”
Qin Youxuan sat back down and calmly accepted the breakfast plate from the Butler.
“Someone? I’ll go check for the Miss.” The Butler set off in response.
Qin Youxuan couldn’t stop him in time.
