Chapter 375: Is He Thinking Like a Villain?
Startled, Qin Youxuan rose from the edge of the bed, knocking over a water cup. The water spilled onto her dress, soaking it.
“Jin Chenye held a press conference, officially refuting previous rumors, acknowledging Miss Qin as the daughter of the Qin family.”
The fingers Qin Youxuan was leaning on the bedside table tightened, she had no idea how to respond.
Water trails dripped down her thighs from the hem of her skirt, and she forgot to change her clothes, standing there dumbfounded.
“Your clothes are wet.”
Dan Hanjie’s dark eyes narrowed at her dazed, little face. Annoyed, he reminded her.
His deep voice was filled with an inexplicable harshness.
Jin Chenye, always trouble.”
Qin Youxuan looked down at her skirt and wrung it out.
“I’ll go downstairs to change clothes first.”
With that, Qin Youxuan hurried towards the door.
Just a few steps out, she paused at the tug of Hanjie’s hand, raising a quizzical brow at him.
“This is our room, where else do you plan to change?” Dan Hanjie spoke through gritted teeth.
Would she always act so absent-minded whenever Jin Chenye was involved?
Startled, Qin Youxuan pointed at the suitcase by the door, stammered a response, “I just need to get some clothes.”
Even a blind man could see that she still harbored feelings for that man.
Dan Hanjie unhanded her, watching her daze off again as she carried her suitcase into the dressing room, not emerging for quite a while.
His dark gaze grew heavier, radiating a sinister light.
All night, Qin Youxuan didn’t say a word.
After leaving the changing room, she constantly watched the news coverage on TV.
Occasionally, she would stop only to ask the butler downstairs if any urgent newspapers had been rushed off the press.
Once they were out, she would hug clusters of newspapers back to her room, reading them over and over again, as if she couldn’t believe what her eyes had seen and could only express her shock in this way…
“Enough! How many times will you read before you stop!”
Dan Hanjie pushed himself up and was about to get out of bed.
Spotting his movements, the Qin Youxuan lying on the couch finally responded.
