Chapter 390: Come, Let’s Talk
Ning Yanan was flustered, then quickly bowed at a right angle, “As you command, Mr. Jie!”
Dan Hanjie’s face relaxed slightly. He glanced at Jiang Jinchen, who was still sitting on the living room couch, “Your rooms are in the other villa. Let the butler take you there.”
“What? I live with him?” Ning Yanan pointed at her nose and then looked at Jiang Jinchen. She sprang to her feet as though stepping on a painful foot.
“I know I am popular, but, Miss… whatever your name is, you don’t need to react this way. Let me tell you upfront that you are not my type!” Jiang Jinchen finished speaking and sized Ning Yanan up and down.
He had the look of someone shopping for vegetables in the market.
Ning Yanan, who had already strongly disliked him, immediately freaked out.
Who would want to live with this social butterfly?!
With clenched fists and resisting the impulse to beat him up, she turned her head pleadingly to Dan Hanjie, “Mr. Jie, considering my loyalty, can I stay here?”
“I promise not to disturb your twosome’s world!” Ning Yanan raised her hands and pledged.
“I want to live with Yaya.”
Upon hearing this, Qin Youxuan detached herself from Dan Hanjie’s arms, walked forward, and took Ning Yanan’s hand.
As soon as she touched her, Ning Yanan shook her off as if electrocuted.
“Xuan, for the sake of my safety, I choose to keep my distance from you. I’ll be fine in my own room, as long as it’s not with…” Ning Yanan glanced back at Jiang Jinchen on the couch, clasping her hands together, “I’ll be so thankful!”
As she spoke, Ning Yanan grabbed her backpack and ran towards the downstairs guest room.
She opened a random door, saw the bed, and immediately rushed in.
“I’ll stay in this room.”
“Jie, if she can stay here, why should I have to stay alone in the outskirts? I don’t care, I want to stay here, too. And I promise not to disturb your twosome’s world!”
Jiang Jinchen mimicked Ning Yanan’s gesture and turned around to run to the other downstairs guest room.
While running, he didn’t forget to shout at his bodyguards, “What are you waiting for? Move all my luggage here!”
Dan Hanjie frowned, looking at the unexpected guests that had invaded his place, an unknowable glint in his eyes.
“Dan Hanjie, I want to go and see Yanan. She just got here, and I’m worried she’ll find it hard to adjust.” Qin Youxuan glanced at Ning Yanan’s room, then turned to look at Dan Hanjie pleadingly.
“I’ll have the butler take care of her. Letting her stay here is already the limit for me. Don’t push me to send her away.” Dan Hanjie gritted his teeth, gazing down at Qin Youxuan who was keeping a careful distance from him.
Was she really that upset about him hiding things from her?
Or was it because of Jin Chenye…
“…I understand.” Qin Youxuan bit her lip, turned around, and started to walk upstairs.
She had only taken a few steps when Dan Hanjie picked her up and held her in his arms.
Nervously gripping his shirt, she blurted out, “Your wound hasn’t healed. You can’t exert yourself…”
Before she could finish, Qin Youxuan fell silent.
She turned her head away awkwardly as she met Dan Hanjie’s surprised gaze.
“It won’t kill me.” Dan Hanjie’s expression eased slightly; repeating the same words, he tightened his hold on her and moved towards the upstairs room.
Back in their room, he saw Qin Youxuan avoid him again, retreating to the tatami mat on the balcony. His brow knotted in annoyance.
“Cat, come here. Let’s talk.”
