When she entered the elegantly decorated coffee shop, ready to tell the waiter whom she was looking for, Jin Chenye had already stood up from his seat by the window and waved at her.

“I have a friend meeting me here,” Qin Youxuan smiled to the waiter, and then walked towards Jin Chenye.
“You’re early,” Qin Youxuan said as she sat down on the chair he had pulled out for her.
They had agreed to meet at ten o’clock, but it was only nine forty.
He had already finished a cup of coffee, indicating he had been waiting for quite a while…
Qin Youxuan’s eyes flickered, a hint of strangeness sweeping over her heart.
“You’ve lost weight.”
Jin Chenye picked up the coffee that the waiter had just brought, took a sip, and spoke softly.
He didn’t ask where she had been, or with whom. Instead, he simply expressed a hint of genuine concern.
