Chapter 579: Chapter 579: We Can Change the Hot Water
Just when she was about to ask Dan Hanjie how he knew she was fine, she saw that Rui Hui’s complexion had already returned to normal. Rui Hui glanced at the housekeeper indifferently, “Aren’t you going to lead the way? Are you expecting our guests to find their rooms in such a big place on their own?”
The butler was obviously taken aback.
Qin Youxuan was also taken aback.
Watching Rui Hui follow the steward into the guest room, it took her a while to recover from the shock.
Did she not get angry and just went to her room like that?
“Diwu Zexuan is not here, she knows better than to get angry all by herself.”
Even if she really demolished the house, it would only be a nuisance to herself. Diwu Zexuan wouldn’t care about the money. Rui Hui knows this.
So, Dan Hanjie knew, she wouldn’t really get angry with the servants.
“You all are odd.” Qin Youxuan smirked and sighed.
Dan Hanjie gently cradled her face with his large hands, his thoughts not on Rui Hui, but on whether her body could handle the long flight.
Qin Youxuan took his hands away, smiled and said, “I’m fine, being with you makes everything fine.”
Was that a confession?
Dan Hanjie couldn’t resist a smile, his eyes shimmering with charm.
Qin Youxuan was held tightly by him, taken aback for a moment, and then she hugged him back.
The couple huddled together, oblivious to the world. The servants nearby promptly turned around, wishing they could blend into the background.
After a while, Dan Hanjie let go of her, lifted her up, and carried her to the room upstairs.
They didn’t need the steward to lead the way. They went directly into the room.
“Dan Hanjie, I can’t do it now.” As soon as Qin Youxuan realized they had changed locations, she immediately issued a nervous reminder.
Hearing her words, Dan Hanjie stiffened, then thumped a fist heavily onto the bed sheet and cursed under his breath.
He took a deep breath to steady his breathing.
“Maybe you should go take a cold shower?”
Seeing him sweating profusely, Qin Youxuan wiped his sweat with her little hand and suggested quietly.
“You wash it for me.”
Dan Hanjie pulled her up.
“I can’t touch cold water now.” Qin Youxuan exclaimed, but he had already dragged her into the bathroom.
“We can switch to hot water.”
By the time they came downstairs, an hour had passed.
Dan Hanjie was refreshed, while Qin Youxuan was so tired her eyelids were fighting each other. She snuggled into his arms, allowing him to feed her.
She didn’t even have the energy to raise her hand to signal what she wanted to eat, and could only nod her chin in agreement.
“Can’t you show a bit of consideration for my single status when you act so lovingly? Can’t you think about what I, a single person, feel?” Rui Hui complained as she harshly cut her steak. She glanced at the two acting in tandem on the other side; her force was so intense she almost cut the plate in half.
She genuinely felt that this trip to America was an entirely dark journey.
Hearing her words, Qin Youxuan lifted her head from Dan Hanjie’s embrace to explain, but she was too tired and rested her head back.
Before she even finished her meal, she had fallen asleep in Dan Hanjie’s arms.
“The medicine she took contained a sedative, plus the exhaustion from the journey, makes her more sleepy than usual. Don’t worry, she’ll be fine,” Rui Hui quickly explained seeing Dan Hanjie’s furrowed brows.
Upon hearing this, Dan Hanjie’s eyes shimmered a little, making his face look somewhat better.
He adjusted Qin Youxuan in his arms and took her back to their room.
As dawn broke, Qin Youxuan was awakened.
She opened her eyes reluctantly, met with Dan Hanjie’s handsome face up close and personal, and pouted, “I’m so sleepy.”
