After a pause, Dan Rong put down his tea cup and said softly, “You’re good at keeping your cool.”
“Uncle, you flatter me. I am not very articulate and I’m afraid I might say something wrong and make you angry.” With a polite smile, Qin Youxuan explained.
Her smile didn’t reach her eyes. Very perfunctory.
“What’s your name?” Dan Rong, seeing her appropriate responses, finally began to acknowledge her presence.
Qin Youxuan replied, neither arrogant nor humble.
But she seemed somewhat distracted.
“Your surname is Qin?” Dan Rong’s eyes twinkled as if it was unexpected, and then, he hid his surprise, “It seems you have some prejudice against me.”
“How is that possible? This is the first time I’ve met you.”
Qin Youxuan placed her hands on her knees, sat obediently with a sweet smile which gives a comfortable feeling to the viewer.
However, her rebellious eyes exuded an indescribable wildness.
And a dash of mockery.
While Dan Rong could naturally sense Qin Youxuan’s hostility, he also didn’t seem to care, “You look very much like an old friend of mine.”
Qin Youxuan didn’t continue the conversation, only looked at him with surprise.
Did he come here specifically to tell her this?
She had assumed that after asking her name, Dan Rong would ask her about her relationship with Dan Hanjie, and then tell her that she was not worthy of being the daughter-in-law of the Dan family.

Surprised, Qin Youxuan ran towards him, “I thought you weren’t coming home tonight.”
Dan Hanjie, who was caught in a full embrace, tightly encased her in his arms.
After a thorough check and seeing that she was alright, he finally relaxed. Turning to Yao who was standing aside, he asked, “What happened?”
