Dan Hanjie watched her distant actions, furrowed his brows and grabbed her back into his arms.
The large hand clasped her petite one, bringing it gently to his thin lips to bestow a kiss.
He completely ignored Qin Youxuan’s bewildered cat eyes.
According to Dan Family tradition, the banquet was held in the most ancient mansion of the family.
Unlike Dan Yi’s private mansion, the old mansion’s simplicity, rich family spirits were more enchanting.
Even before the banquet began, the entire estate was already closely guarded.
The vast open-air banquet area had a long red carpet spread out.
On both sides of the red carpet were pillars decorated with light gauze, located every two meters up to the main venue.
The tops of the pillars were embedded with massive luminescent stones. As soon as night fell, they looked like brilliant pearls in the sky.

The main banquet area was on the vast lawn of the old mansion.

A long row of dining tables was filled with a variety of exquisite dishes.

He turned and headed for the main venue.
He can’t let Dan Rong be the sole center of attention throughout this entire banquet.

The car stopped smoothly in front of the old mansion’s main gate.
“Dan Hanjie, do I really have to go in with you?” Qin Youxuan looked up at the old mansion which appeared as fetching as a luxurious castle, nervously gripping her skirt.
She grew up in the Qin Family and attended many high society banquets, yet it was the first time she had attended one of such grand scale. She was understandably nervous.
“Scared?” Dan Hanjie raised his eyebrow, teasingly observing her petite and delicate face.
“Not at all.” Qin Youxuan raised her head.
There was nothing she feared in this world. She was just worried that she might say or do something wrong and cause him trouble.
She didn’t fear for herself but for Dan Hanjie.

Qin Youxuan noticed his displeasure, didn’t dare to continue discussing the matter in the car and swung the car door open to get out.
She was adorned in a rosy knee-length dress which made her fair skin seem even more bright.

She had styled her hair with light curls cascading onto her shoulders.
She wore a pair of diamond-studded high heels. With every step she took, she exuded a faint glow.
