Qin Youxuan didn’t have class one day, so she nestled in a sofa reading a book.
Just as she noticed someone approaching from behind, her eyes were covered.
“Dan Hanjie, why did you come back so early today?” She grabbed his hand, smiling brightly.

The car headed toward a more remote area, eventually stopping at a farm in the middle of nowhere.
Wildflowers and grass were everywhere. They swayed gently with the breeze.
Sitting in the car, Qin Youxuan looked around, puzzled. “What’s this place?”
“Get out.” Dan Hanjie unbuckled his seatbelt, opened the car door, walked to Qin Youxuan’s side, and pulled her out of the car.
He took her hand and stepped onto the farm.
Quickly, someone approached with a respectful bow. “Mr. Jie.”
It dawned on Qin Youxuan that this farm belonged to him.
Dan Hanjie didn’t say anything. His face was expressionless. He just held Qin Youxuan’s hand tightly and continued toward the back of the farm.
They walked until they reached a small hill at the back of the farm.
Dan Hanjie stopped, turned, and looked at Qin Youxuan, who had silently followed him up the hill.
Her forehead was covered in sweat and her delicate face was flushed, but she shook her head with a smile.
The next second, she took a handkerchief from her bag and, standing on tiptoe, dabbed at his sweat.
“To visit my mom.” Dan Hanjie grabbed her hand, looked at her, and spoke slowly, “This is the most open spot on the farm. My mom was buried just ahead.”

“Let’s go. She’s going to incense up for my mom. Your ugly daughter-in-law is here to pay respects.”

But when they reached the grave, she knelt down seriously.
She took the incense from his hand, bowed to the grave three times.
