“Yes.” Yao was taken aback, but without further ado, went straight down to handle it.
“Ye Zhanxing treated you , and you still invited him for dinner, are you out of your mind?” Qin Youxuan widened her eyes, unbelievably looking at Dan Hanjie’s laid-back face.
She quickly became nervous, “Dan Hanjie, was it because I spilled coffee on Ye Mingmei, and she went to complain to Ye Zhanxing? You are trying to apologize to Ye Zhanxing by inviting him to dinner?”
“Is that all you can think of? It shouldn’t be, didn’t you always consider yourself pretty intelligent?” Dan Hanjie retorted with a teasing, half-smiling hint at his lips.
Qin Youxuan was stunned for a moment, then realized he had made fun of her. She threw a punch at his chest. “I’m worried about you, you are still joking with me. Did I really not cause you any trouble?”
“After splashing coffee on Ye Mingmei, what did you say to her?” Dan Hanjie picked up a strand of her hair and twirled it around his finger.
“How do you know what I said to her?” Qin Youxuan looked at his finger, grinning broadly, “Actually, it’s nothing. I was just annoyed by her harassment and told her to stop bothering me, or else next time I will splash sulfuric acid on her face…”
Remembering the scene, Qin Youxuan couldn’t help laughing out loud, “I guess no one had ever dared to say such a thing to Ye Mingmei from childhood to adulthood. You should have seen it, her face turned pale from fear, I could hardly bear to watch.”
Dan Hanjie said nothing, just looked at her quietly.
It took Qin Youxuan a few seconds to realize something, “Are you suggesting that I really scared Ye Mingmei so much that she didn’t dare to let Ye Zhanxing know?”
“At least so far, I haven’t received any calls for accountability.” Dan Hanjie gave her an approving look.
Evildoers need to be ground by evildoers. Running into Qin Youxuan, who doesn’t play by the rules, was indeed an eye-opener for Ye Mingmei.

“Not really, I have a bad temper, so consider it as a part of self-cultivation.” Qin Youxuan responded cheerfully.
The two looked at each other and burst into laughter, holding each other tightly.
“If it’s not because of Ye Mingmei, why would you invite Ye Zhanxing to dinner?” After a moment, Qin Youxuan raised her head from his chest and asked doubtfully.
“You’ll find out soon.”
Not long after, Yao returned.
“Mr. Jie, Ye Zhanxing declined, saying he is not available recently, and will reconsider after some time.”
“Any news from the financial group?” Dan Hanjie adjusted the sleeping Qin Youxuan in his arms and asked in a low voice.
“Not yet, but the report has been submitted, and we believe there will be a result soon.” Yao replied respectfully, then added another point after seemingly recalling something.
“The person at the mansion already knows Mr. Jie’s arrangement this time, he’s very satisfied, and has already secretly contacted several influential standing directors to help plead for Mr. Jie.”
