Qin Youxuan drew a sharp breath in pain, yet the man’s actions became increasingly unrestrained.

Qin Youxuan dug her fingers into his arm, trying to dislodge his grasp for ages, grinding her teeth in frustration.
Dan Hanjie tightened his arms around her, his thin lips pressed against her ear, his deep voice filled with self-reproach.
“Dan Hanxi was right. I deliberately took you to the Ye Family banquet. I never considered that you might have an accident.”
Every time he thought of that scene, it felt like a steel needle piercing straight into his heart.
