I mumbled inwardly, the words tasting of disbelief and awe.
At first, I was assuming it to be a rank higher - an Overlord Beast maybe, but Mythical? This wasn’t just luck; it was like stumbling upon a primordial relic in a backwater alley.
A giddy rush surged through me, sharp and electric. I’d hit the jackpot, all right.
Steadying myself, I focused on its abilities. The list unfolded like a scroll of forbidden knowledge:
▸ Absolute Cryokinesis (*) – Sovereign authority over ice, mist, and thermal energy, capable of plunging temperatures to absolute zero.
▸ Blizzard Monarch (Sealed) – Summons and commands violent blizzards, conjuring howling winds, razor-edged hail, and suffocating snowstorms. The storm’s intensity scales with the Rime Weaver’s power, from localized flurries to arctic cataclysms.

▸ Illusory Manifestation – Generates hyper-realistic, multi-sensory illusions indistinguishable from reality. Deceives sight, sound, touch, scent, and even thermal perception.
▸ Ethereal Frostform – As a phantom beast, it lacks a physical body, granting:
- Intangibility: Phase through solid matter, energy attacks, and magical barriers unimpeded.
- Immunity to Physical Harm: Conventional weapons and brute force pass harmlessly through its form.
- Glacial Phasing: Grants minor spatial manipulation, allowing instantaneous shifts through cold-infused space. (e.g., frost-covered surfaces, blizzard winds).
Each ability was a masterpiece of destruction and control, a testament to what "Mythical" truly meant. And this was just its early-stage Elder Beast form.

- Prolonged (e.g., 3-7 days), depending on usage intensity.
- Full access to the Rime Weaver’s innate abilities
- Your evolved affinity and mental abilities are greatly amplified.
- Physical attributes (Strength, Speed, Endurance, etc) are temporarily elevated.
- Extreme Aura Drain: Drains a massive amount of Aura upon activation and during duration.
- Environmental Strain: Radiates intense cold, potentially freezing non-resistant surroundings.
- Post-Use Exhaustion: Leaves you severely depleted and vulnerable after the duration ends.
The name resonated in my mind like the first clear note of a winter sonata. A symphony of ice and soul, a poetic one, I see.
I scanned the activation requirements. I think I have already met all the conditions. Although I didn’t exactly know how our affinity became 5-star, I could guess it was related to experiencing its memories, understanding it and probably holding a special place in its ’heart’.
The vocal command made me pause.

It certainly sounded epic, even a bit dramatic. And it would look incredibly cool in the right situation, especially if I was already in that ethereal, frost-wreathed form I used...
I decided to stick to mental activation for now, though I couldn’t deny the appeal of announcing it mid-battle, just to see the terror in an enemy’s eyes as frost began crawling up-
I slapped both hands to my cheeks. The sting cleared my head.
Duration: 30-40 seconds. Short, but workable. Both the sub-zero extension and mental fatigue penalty made sense. And with training, especially in Virion’s time-dilated domain, I could stretch it more. Perhaps reach hours?
Cooldown: 3-7 days. Harsh, but fair for this level of power. At least it wasn’t a month this time.
Honestly, I’d already sensed them during my confrontation with the giant Mistborn. The way my movements had become fluid yet precise, how the cold had sung through my veins like a second pulse, it all made sense now. It was a thrilling experience. I was even flying after all.
As for the drawbacks... I hadn’t felt them as severely back then. Probably because our bond was fresh, and I’d been using the Weaver’s aura rather than my own.
This was an amazing ability.
And with it finished, I shifted my focus to the last section of Rime Weaver’s details.

▸ Evolved Water Affinity – Your inherent Water Affinity has advanced to Grade 7, enabling comprehensive control over liquid, vapor (mist), and solid states (ice, snow).
My lips curled up as I read the first shared power.

At least I could learn something even without a Mystic Resonator directly instructing me. A trick for my arsenal, however rudimentary now.
A fleeting thought crossed my mind: if only the memory-weaving had been shared too. Maybe then I could’ve solved my amnesia.
But that was uncertain at best. Besides, the Weaver itself might still help me with that.
"Another thing to take care of," I mumbled, quickly scanning the next entry.
The Weaver got the weaker end of this exchange, my half-baked pain-sharing skill. Though... maybe it could use it better than I could. The thought of a mythical entity strategically redirecting damage was oddly comforting.
