Hearing Ji Youcheng’s words, Zhu Xiuxiu involuntarily rolled her eyes. She merely snorted coldly without saying anything and instructed her Maid to begin packing their luggage.
Seeing her reaction, Ji Youcheng was delighted. Typically, he couldn’t get the better of Zhu Xiuxiu, but today, she seemed unusually subdued. He was overjoyed by this, feeling as if he were floating on cloud nine.

Zhu Xiuxiu ground her teeth in anger at his words. "Ji Youcheng, I’m warning you, don’t push your luck! I’m ignoring you because I’m trying to save you some face."
"Ha! I’d rather you didn’t save my face. If you’re so disgusted by it, then have the guts to find your own place to stay!"
Leaning against the doorframe, Ji Youcheng watched Zhu Xiuxiu’s face, contorted in anger as she gritted her teeth. He felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. How long had it been since he’d managed to infuriate her like this?
It had been three years. On the very second day of their marriage, he had been compelled to depart for Xiling, leaving her all alone in their countryside home—he truly had no other choice. He had expected that upon his return, this woman would come at him with a vengeance, perhaps even chase him with a knife. He never imagined she would do nothing, instead spending her days quite contentedly with her niece.

Hearing his taunts, Zhu Xiuxiu sneered at him. "Fine! I won’t stay here. You can have this place all to yourself!" Enraged, she slammed down the item in her hand and stormed off.
"Hey! Are you really leaving? I... I was just joking!"
Hearing that, Ji Youcheng panicked and quickly chased after her, only to be met with Zhu Xiuxiu’s furious glare.
"What an interesting couple! With Ji Youcheng’s cunning, how could Xiuxiu ever outwit him!"
Lady Ji and Nanny Zhang stood aside, watching, their laughter so pronounced their eyes nearly vanished. Finally, there was good news regarding the eldest son, which was a relief. The second son’s marriage remained uncertain for now, but she now saw a glimmer of hope for the third son.
Next would be the fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth sons. As long as all their marriages were arranged, she could finally account for her duties to the Ji Family, and to that person.

Lady Ji thought Nanny Zhang’s words were quite right. "This won’t do at all!" she said. "We must create an opportunity for them to reconcile!"
Just as Lady Ji said this, she heard her granddaughter’s voice from nearby, asking, "Create what opportunity for whom?"
Lady Ji turned her head and saw Huo Xing’Er holding Xiaosuisui, leading Xie Pan’Er, with Yun Duo and Yunxiang following them.
"My precious, come quickly! Let Grandmother hold you!"
Upon seeing her grandmother, Xiaosuisui immediately abandoned her Second Aunt, stretched out her little hands, and went straight into Lady Ji’s embrace.
"Grandmother, who were you and Nanny Zhang just talking about creating an opportunity for to reconcile?"
Not having received an answer to her question, Xiaosuisui persisted.
Lady Ji sighed softly and said, "I was talking about your Third Uncle and your Third Aunt!
"If they continue quarreling like this, what are we to do?
"When will Grandmother get to hold a grandson?
"And when will a granddaughter as well-behaved as Suisui arrive?"
