Garbage Goes in the Trash (2)
A torrent of compressed power.
A storm of attack, so strong that even the word “gale” would be too lukewarm to describe it, and it was raging in the Senate Building after the evacuation had been completed and the Imperial Guards and the suspected Senate President Cyrus changed location.
The one wielding the power that could kill anyone caught in the storm was the Demon Emperor Yuki.
“Hahah! Weak, weak, I was hoping that they would at least release something vicious enough to be able to fight back with poison in their claws and fangs! Well, even if I get poisoned, I have advanced potions, so it doesn’t matter!” (Yuki)
[…hmm, there is nothing unique about its attack or defense. Well, even if the enemy was more capable, they wouldn’t be able to prepare something that could give you a challenge, Master.] (Enne)
“Perhaps these creatures haven’t fought a single battle since they were created by the power of the dungeon. They must have been sealed up the moment they were born.” (Yuki)
[…Indeed, they do seem weak. They are big in body, but they fight like children. Also, this wolfy is smart for not fighting the Master, even though it’s weak.] (Enne)
“Yes, it’s cute that it’s willing to join us and fight for us. Let’s bring this guy home and let Rir and the others take care of it! Well, this one is a little weak compared to the level of monsters of the Demon Forest, but if he stays there with my pets, he should be able to get a little stronger!” (Yuki)
[…well, if Rir takes care of it, there will not be any problem.] (Enne)
“He’s going to make a distant look while talking to me again as if saying that he’s got more work to do…! …Oh, right, the reason this one surrendered immediately was probably because he smelled Rir’s scent lingering on me…!” (Yuki)
The Demon Emperor Yuki, the demon sword rumored to be his daughter, and the wolf who decided to join his side, stared at their enemies.
Against them were several, gigantic monsters.
A scorpion the size of a carriage, a huge bear with four thick arms, a fire giant that continued to smolder, a grass monster with undulating tentacles, a crocodile with a jawbone that could chew through steel, and a cunning lion with agile movements.
How did they manage to prepare so many monsters?
These monsters had the strength to easily destroy the Imperial Guards, but they were currently trying to escape, getting wounded, and dying.
Unlike the Wolf, who immediately showed reverence, those monsters started attacking Yuki in desperation. Because of that, Yuki showed no mercy at all and started to lay waste to them.
The walls, floors, furniture, etc. of the Senate Building were spectacularly destroyed with blood splattered everywhere. The place was in such a terrible state of disarray that it looked as if a war had broken out in this place alone. Yuki never suffered any wounds, and even supported the wolf who joined his side, while he continued to wreak havoc while laughing loudly.
The Imperial Guards could easily die if caught in the middle of it all, so they could no longer assist him, and simply watched the battle from a distance.
“…It’s astonishing, isn’t it?”
Helger Landros listened to his subordinate’s comment and then asked, “Do you know the story about the Prime Minister?”
“The Prime Minister… that man who was a staunch mainline warlord, but one day he became a moderate, as if he had undergone a complete change of character?” (Imperial Guard A)
“That’s right. The Prime Minister, who has recently been working behind the scenes, rarely appears on the stage, but it appears that he once accompanied His Majesty Yuki in defeating some monsters.” (Helger)
Another Imperial Guard who was listening to the conversation reacted to Helger’s words, “Heeh… I see, so he had actually witnessed his strength. Did that make him think that if he continued on this hostile path, it would lead to the destruction of the country?”
“Yes, perhaps that’s what he thought. He made the best choice, without people knowing it.” (Helger)
They exchanged words as they watched the battle unfolding before their eyes.
