If the human army had to seriously challenge this monster, it would certainly be too costly. In fact, it was because of this reason that this monster was left unattended, and it was probably decided that it would be better to skip the area entirely, even if they had to take a longer route.
However, in the Demon Forest, monsters would only be considered a little weaker than the middle of the order. Weaker than one of my pets.
And apparently, this monster was not intelligent either.
When that monster saw us, it only growled and threatened, showing no signs of fear or alarm.
It didn’t realize that we were stronger than it.
Maybe it’s because of the size difference that it didn’t consider that such a small being could be stronger than it.

It didn’t understand our words, but it understood that it was being provoked.
The monster leapt to his feet, muscles flexing, pulled out a nearby tree, and threw it at us with the form of a major-league baseball player.
Spinning around like a throwing axe, I dived to avoid the approaching tree, and then closed the distance between us.
The other side was also running towards me after the initial throw, making the distance between the monster and me narrow so soon. The sudden closeup caused the monster to be startled, but it was still able to launch a series of punches reflexively, raining them down from above.
I took a step to the side and slashed at the rocky fist that passed by me with Enne (sword form), which I raised from a lower vantage point.
Oh? Surprisingly, hard.
With that feeling, I cut the flesh, but it felt like I was stopped by the bone.
However, I could sense from the attack just now that this guy was apparently inexperienced in combat.
The Gorilla Lion screamed pitifully at the slightest cut, and then, as if in a fit of rage, began flailing its arms around, trying to crush me to a pulp.
Maybe because it was the king of the mountain, it had beaten its opponents in every battle it had ever been in with ease.
Unlike the monsters of the Demon Forest, where everyone was strong and even the higher-ranked monsters could lose if they were not careful, there was no one around here to compete with this one, which was probably why it had never suffered an injury before.
An opponent who lacked composure was not an enemy.
I look, I avoid, and I cut.
I was sure that even I would be badly damaged if I took a blow… But that’s the thing.
If I didn’t get hit, it didn’t matter.
One after another, more and more wounds appeared on the Gorilla Lion’s body, and blood danced in the air.
It finally realized that it couldn’t win at this point.
After I slashed its torso, it backed away as if frightened, then showed its back and started running away.
When its life was at stake, it was only natural for it to flee when it realized it could not win. But if it was going to run away, it should have done so earlier, while it still had strength left in it.
