A Ruthless Couple’s Battle
Illuna and the others had started going to school.
Today, they went to the Sheep Horn Clan village and spent the day there.
They had already gotten used to it, and now they often went out on their own instead of acting as a group of six.
Well, the wraith girls were still floating around in groups of three, but Illuna, Shii, and Enne had gotten to the point where they often wander around Sheep Horn Clan village on their own.
The curriculum at the junior school was basically set, and students often acted in groups, but this was the case only because they were studying in the Sheep Horn Clan village.
There were elective classes so that students could study subjects that interested them, and because of this, they sometimes had spare time.
At such times, Illuna and the others do different things, such as returning to the dungeon, going to the library to read books, playing with friends, or taking a leisurely stroll.
The sociable Illuna and Shii, who were well-liked by everyone, spent their spare time hanging out with their friends, while Enne was often doing whatever she wanted on her own.
In fact, out of the three, Enne might be the one who was most suited when it came to integrating with the village.
Surprisingly, it was the Wraith girls who had the most friends.
As a very rare race, everyone really pampered them while they were in the village, so they wandered here and there, going around all kinds of places, and because of this, they were particularly well-known among their classmates.
Unlike Illuna and the others, they honestly had little interest in studying itself, but the Sheep Horn Clan village was a fun place for the Wraith girls, as they had many friends to play with and never had to worry about anything.
However, there was one thing that had been bothering them lately.
They hadn’t seen their best friend from the village, Emyuu, at all.
They knew that a while ago she had accompanied her master, Miss Eldogalia, to do some field research, but they hadn’t seen her since she had last visited the dungeon.
Well, demons had a pretty relaxed sense of time.
This was no different for the Sheep Horn Clan, who seemed to be rushing through life, and when it came to research, they took a very long-term view, even spanning ten, twenty, or even a hundred years.
It was common for the Sheep Horn Clan members to go out on a research trip and not come back until they had some results, so although this was normal for the Sheep Horn Clan, it still made the Wraith girls feel a little lonely.
“I don’t get to see Emyuu-chan that often.” (Shii)
“Yeah. I think she’s probably working hard on her research. When we’re together, she’s smart enough to feel like she’s Layla’s little sister, so I think she’s doing her best at what she can.” (Illuna)

“Yeah. There wouldn’t be any conflict.” (Illuna)
“Hehe, is that so? But Shii likes to take it easy. If everyone was Shii, everyone would take it easy, and work and such might not get done!” (Shii)
“…That’s true. Maybe everyone should not be Shii after all.” (Enne)
“Haha, well, everyone is different and being different is good. What we need is diversity. Big brother said the same thing!” (Illuna)
“Diversity will move the world forward!” (Shii)
