A Ruthless Battle Between Husband and Wife
I said to my wife, Lefi, “Don’t mess with me, that was my donut.”
My wife Lefi said, “You don’t usually eat sweets anyway, right?”
I replied, “I was in the mood for a donut today, I was looking forward to it!”
My wife Lefi said, “Then why didn’t you write your name on it?”
No matter how much of a wife she was, I couldn’t tolerate this kind of tyranny.
Evil must be punished by justice, and justice was achieved by force.
“You’re always like that! You don’t even check, you just do whatever you want with your own assumptions!” (Yuki)
“If there’s just one donut, it’s obvious that someone is going to eat it! And you’re my wife, aren’t you?! Then you should be able to figure that out!” (Yuki)
“Your wife isn’t an esper!? How high are your expectations for your partner?” (Lefi)
“You’ve been reading my thoughts a lot lately! Now, try to guess what I’m thinking right now!” (Yuki)
“…Riou’s drooling, so you need to wipe it off?” (Lefi)
“…You’re right.” (Yuki)
“…Oh, no, don’t try to derail the story! You ate my donut! I’m going to challenge you to a duel! If I win, you’ll apologize to me!” (Yuki)
“Oh, oh! That’s great, then when I win, you’ll kneel and apologize for being so unreasonable!” (Lefi)
“Okay! So, to make it fair this time, let’s have a fight with this!” (Yuki)
It was a toy, and although it looked cool like a sniper rifle, it was made of plastic and had a color that kids would love.
The bullets were made of sponge, and the firing mechanism was spring-powered. But when I tried it out, it worked pretty well, and I couldn’t help but think, “Wow…”
It even had a scope, so it was pretty authentic.
Also, since it was made of plastic that didn’t exist in this world, it was very expensive. However, I wouldn’t tell my wives about it even if they guessed that it was a toy from the DP catalog.
Well, I went out of my way to hunt monsters just for this, and I got all my DP, so I guess I would be forgiven for buying it.
“That’s… what is that?” (Lefi)
“Let me explain! This is a toy gun that I brought out because I thought it would be a good toy for Riou and Sakuya! When you pull the trigger, bullets fly!” (Yuki)
“…It has a pretty elaborate shape, but shouldn’t it be expensive?” (Lefi)
“Well, no, no…” (Yuki)
“Well then! …Anyway, how do you play with it?” (Lefi)
“The rules are simple, lie down, aim this, and shoot! And whoever hits the most targets wins!” (Yuki)
“Oh? What’s the target?” (Lefi)
“Basically, it’s a stuffed animal or something. Place it , and whoever hits the most targets wins. It’s no good if you just graze them. You have to hit them properly to get the points.” (Yuki)
The targets were stuffed toys and books, and other small items that wouldn’t break if we shoot them.
It was like a shooting gallery at a festival.
“Oh… Honestly, it looks like a bit of fun.” (Lefi)
“Right? How about distributing the points? Maybe if we can knock down the one at the back from here, we get three points, or something like that?” (Yuki)
“Hmm, then… how about one point for everything in front, two points for the one on the floor from around the table to the back, and three points for the one on the table?” (Lefi)
“Let’s go with that. Then you spread the targets out nicely.” (Yuki)
“Okay, leave it to me.” (Lefi)
