Chapter 5: An Awkward Apology
The loud crying right next to his ear left him completely drained, but there was nothing he could do.
Thinking it could not be helped, he gently patted the boy’s back. Then, taking the hand of the silver haired boy who had begun to give off a killing intent again, he led him to the seats that had been prepared.
"Thank you."
"No, we should be the ones apologizing."
When he thanked them for the tea cup that was handed to him, he received an apology in return.
Was that apology for bringing him here in the first place, or was it for the blond boy who was still crying on his lap?
"You are a very serious and well behaved child."
Compared to the child who was still crying nonstop, this one felt a little too serious.
When he gently patted the silver haired boy’s head, saying "good boy, good boy," the boy looked surprised at first, but then offered his head without resisting.
"Come to think of it, I haven’t asked your name yet. Could you tell me?"
"My name is Lunios and I’m a God!"
Weren’t you crying just a moment ago?
Seeing the wide and cheerful smile on his face as if the crying from earlier had been a lie Qiong Xing gave a wry smile.
"A god, huh? That’s impressive. May I call you Luni?"
"Of course."
The silver haired boy’s expression did not change much, but the way he nodded happily looked so cute and appropriate for his age.
It was completely different from his demon-like behavior just moments ago.
"So then, why am I here? Is this heaven?"
"No."
The answer came instantly and things became even more confusing.
If not heaven, then was it hell?
He briefly thought so, but judging by their appearance, that seemed unlikely.
Their actions were questionable, but they looked like cute little boys around five or six years old.
They had very well-shaped and beautiful faces so much so that it was strange they did not have wings growing from their backs.
"Normally, you were never supposed to come here. To begin with, you were not supposed to die. You still had lifespan left. And then this guy..."
While glaring at the god who was still in Qiong Xing’s arms, Lunios gently patted the boy’s head and then began to explain everything that had happened up until now.

An hour had passed since he woke up in the forest and began wandering around.
Qiong Xing was starting to feel that he had reached his limit.
"So even after being reborn, my terrible sense of direction didn’t get fixed. How disappointing."
He had always known that he was bad with directions, but he never thought it would carry over even after reincarnation, so he had kept walking without much thought.
By the time he realized it, it was already too late.
Qiong Xing had absolutely no idea where he was now.
