A Saiyan's Journey Chapter 162

Rin Tohsaka returned home, and as she stepped into the living room, she found her mother, Aoi Tohsaka, already waiting there.

Rin walked over to Aoi, who gently embraced her.

"Has Mr. Zuke already left?"

Rin's voice was tinged with noticeable melancholy. By all logic, she shouldn't feel so reluctant to part with Zuke, who had only been with her for three days.

But it was now that she realized the sense of security Zuke brought made her reluctant to let go. Even though their time together was brief, his departure felt like she had lost something important.

In truth, Aoi Tohsaka felt similarly. Compared to Tokiomi Tohsaka, Zuke gave her a far stronger sense of security.

However, Aoi had understood during their interactions that Zuke, as a Heroic Spirit, would leave after the Holy Grail War. Though saddened, she had mentally prepared herself for it.

Even though Rin was dejected, she quickly made up her mind.

"Mom, I want to study magecraft at the Clock Tower!"

While the Tohsaka family's gem magecraft was important, Rin also wished to participate in the next Holy Grail War.

Although, under normal circumstances, the next Holy Grail War wouldn't occur for a long time, Rin still wanted to see Zuke again.

"Is that so... Then go, Rin."

Aoi stroked Rin's head gently, fully supporting her—she could somewhat understand Rin's thoughts and had no reason to oppose her decision.

With the path to the Clock Tower already paved by Zuke for the Tohsaka family, it wouldn't be difficult for Rin to study magecraft there.

However, neither of them knew that Sakura Matou was also studying at the Clock Tower at this time.

If Rin also went to the Clock Tower… it seemed the place would become quite lively.

Unfortunately, Zuke wouldn't be around to see any of it.

In Fuyuki City's civic center, Zuke continued using the "Black Bird" to devour the black mud pouring out of the Holy Grail.

The black mud, essentially magical energy accumulated by the Holy Grail, was plentiful. Even after absorbing for a considerable time, Zuke had yet to finish it.

With only eight hours of his task-world time remaining, Zuke realized that even if he continued devouring the black mud, it wouldn't lead to a significant increase in strength.

"This should be enough."

Zuke commanded the "Black Bird" to release the Holy Grail before mercilessly obliterating it with Void miasma.

Having absorbed enough black mud, the Holy Grail, now destroyed, wouldn't cause the black mud to spill from the "hole" in the sky as in the original story.

However, Zuke's absorption wasn't solely to prevent Fuyuki City from facing a catastrophe. More importantly, he discovered during the process that the black mud reacted with his combat power.

Indeed, the black mud, at its core, was magical energy from the Holy Grail. When this magical energy entered Zuke's body, it merged with his "ki," producing unexpected transformations.

The magical energy, originally from the Nasuverse, had now transformed into "magic" belonging to the Dragon Ball world!

In the Dragon Ball universe, magic indeed exists—most famously wielded by the wizard Babidi, who controlled Majin Buu.

Dragon Ball magic, akin to psychic powers, can be used to create various extraordinary techniques, providing a power boost beyond combat strength.

Despite Babidi's frail combat capabilities, his magic allowed him to create powerful barriers and even survive half a body after Vegeta's Super Saiyan 2 self-destruction—a testament to the strength of his magical abilities.

Beyond Babidi, there's another figure who utilizes magic in combat: Moro, from Dragon Ball Super.

Moro could manipulate the energy within planets, using it to attack enemies directly. The energy of just one planet was enough to challenge Goku and Vegeta, even in their Super Saiyan Blue forms. Furthermore, Moro could absorb this energy to achieve terrifying power—all thanks to his magic.

When the Supreme Kai sealed Moro's magic, he became essentially powerless.

This realization motivated Zuke to continuously absorb the black mud, converting its magical energy into a unique form of magic through his body.

But time was limited. As the eight hours of game time neared their end, Zuke recognized that further absorption wouldn't be fruitful.

"What a pity… I only intended to test absorbing this black mud but didn't expect such an unexpected benefit."

Zuke frowned, feeling a bit regretful.

"If I had known, I would've delayed ending the Holy Grail War by a day, giving myself enough time to absorb all the black mud."

Though he had already consumed a significant amount, Zuke could sense that the Greater Grail still held plenty of black mud.

"I wonder what level this magical energy is… Maybe I should consult the Kai."

Clenching his fists, Zuke could feel that his body now contained not only terrifying amounts of "ki" but also a new, distinct power—"magic."

The problem was, compared to techniques involving "ki," those using "magic" were far more challenging to learn.

The two characters Zuke knew to be proficient in using magic—Babidi and Moro—were both unequivocal villains, making interactions with them problematic.

That said… there was still a way.

Babidi himself was extraordinarily weak, and Zuke could easily coerce him with brute force. The challenge was avoiding Dabura, whom Babidi had under mind control.

Dabura's power was said by Goku to rival "a guy named Cell from before." Whether this referred to Perfect Cell or the even-stronger Super Perfect Cell was debated before Zuke's transmigration.

Either way, Zuke couldn't handle Dabura right now. But if he could avoid Dabura, he'd have no trouble forcing Babidi to teach him magic.

As for Moro, he was also tricky. However, having lost his magic, Moro was imprisoned in the Galactic Patrol's prison. Content orıginally comes from 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝⚑𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖⚑𝕟𝕖𝕥

One million years ago, the Grand Supreme Kai had sacrificed divine power to strip Moro of his magic, leaving him powerless for eons.

It wasn't until decades later that Moro slowly regained a fraction of his magic and used it to escape.

In other words, during the decades preceding the manga's storyline, Moro remained a powerless convict.

If Zuke could convince the Galactic Patrol to let him meet Moro, he might learn magic from him.

But… as expected, the Galactic Patrol would never allow such a meeting.

The concern that Zuke might be killed by Moro was secondary. The bigger issue was his identity as a Saiyan—a race infamous across the universe.

A Saiyan asking to meet a notorious criminal like Moro in private? The Galactic Patrol agreeing would be miraculous.
