A Saiyan's Journey Chapter 374

Upon entering the mission world selection interface, the first thing Zuke did was adjust the timeline of the Dragon Ball world forward by 47 hours.

Most Saiyans were battle-crazed muscleheads, but occasionally, a few smarter ones emerged—those who took on non-combat roles.

For example, Gine, Bardock's wife, was one such Saiyan. Unsuitable for fighting but possessing decent organizational skills, she handled logistics like meat distribution among the Saiyans.

Among them were also those skilled in calculations and management. The 47-hour estimate came from these Saiyans—a projection based on Frieza's ship speed. Barring unforeseen delays, Frieza's forces would arrive at Planet Vegeta in exactly 47 hours.

Or, as Zuke bluntly renamed it: "Planet Saiya."

Of course, the calculation wasn't flawless—there could be a margin of error up to 5 hours. Unless Frieza's army encountered some unforeseen obstacle mid-journey, forcing them to halt temporarily.

But given the scale of Frieza's mobilization, if his fleet were delayed, the Saiyans would likely hear about it.

[Respected Zuke, please select a mission world:]

Dragon Ball (47 hours skipped)

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Main quest generating…)

TYPE-MOON (Main quest generating…)

[Respected Zuke, your remaining daily attempts: 3]

"Hmm, the special mission world still hasn't refreshed… Whatever, no rush for now."

Zuke glanced at the Special Mission World slot, deep in thought.

Aside from Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Story Chronicles, the other special mission world remained School-Live!.

Logically, he should refresh it to see if something more useful appeared. But right now, his priority was resolving the Dragon Ball main quest.

Frieza was practically at their doorstep—he had no mental bandwidth for other worlds. He hadn't even touched the progress on Sky Striker or TY-PHON's control console these past few days.

If a high-stakes special mission world appeared now, it'd only distract him.

So, after some consideration, Zuke decided to hold off on refreshing and deal with Frieza first.

"One more day won't hurt."

"It's almost the day Frieza could arrive… Has Lord Zuke still not come out?"

Outside a training room on Planet Vegeta, a group of Saiyans anxiously stared at the sealed door.

This was the private training chamber Zuke had claimed, declaring he'd remain inside until Frieza arrived—no disturbances allowed.

Yet, the room had been eerily silent. A few curious Saiyans even used scouters to check, but no energy readings were detected inside.

Of course, this was quickly explained: Zuke had means to conceal his power level.

By Saiyan standards, hiding one's battle power was near-unthinkable—but since Zuke was the "Super Saiyan," they accepted it without question.

"If it's the legendary Super Saiyan, anything's possible!"

"Quit loitering! Frieza could descend any moment—go prepare!"

Bardock soon arrived, shooing away the crowd. Thanks to his reputation and close ties with Zuke, he'd been handling most internal affairs—exhausting work.

As Zuke put it: "Once Frieza's dead, we'll take over his army. Professionals will handle management then."

On the surface, it might seem like Frieza's forces would still run things—but the power dynamic would flip entirely.

Under Frieza, Saiyans were oppressed. But once he fell, they'd be the rulers.

"Won't even be called 'Frieza Force' anymore—more like Saiyan Force."

"Still… he should be coming out soon, right?"

Bardock studied the training room. He didn't believe Zuke would flee—his earlier resolve left no doubt he intended to topple Frieza.

Plus, Bardock didn't know Frieza's true power. To him, Zuke's 30+ million battle power made retreat unthinkable—since when do the strong fear the weak?

As if answering his thoughts, the training room door swung open.

Zuke stepped out calmly—his aura unchanged from three days prior, still composed.

But with power exceeding 30 million, Bardock couldn't sense any fluctuations anyway.

Bardock's tension eased. He approached, clapping Zuke's shoulder—no formalities, just like their first meeting.

His demeanor hadn't changed despite Zuke becoming the Saiyans' king—likely why he was so well-liked.

"How're you feeling? Hungry? I can have Gine cook some meat."

Zuke declined. Saiyan cooking was too primitive for his tastes.

Just look at Vegeta's debut in the original series—gnawing on a raw alien arm. That summed up their culinary standards: barely above cavemen.

"Might need to reform their diets later…"

Cutting to the chase, he asked:

"Any issues with Frieza? He's en route?"

"No delays. His fleet should reach Planet Saiya soon."

Bardock's smile faded, nodding solemnly.

He'd been monitoring Frieza's movements closely—no deviations detected.

Barring surprises, Frieza's ship would enter orbit within hours.
