However, this flight attendant had seen all sorts of people on planes, and her instincts told her something was amiss. She reported to her supervisor, who scolded her for finding trouble when there was none. They couldn’t afford to offend the passengers and deal with the consequences.
The flight attendant was frustrated. The supervisor just wanted to avoid trouble, but what if her hunch was right, and the men were terrorists, or the young man was a kidnapped hostage?
Oh my god, the more she thought, the more absurd it seemed. She slapped her cheeks as the supervisor had said; she was indeed looking for trouble.
This flight was the last before she had two days off. She had already made plans with her boyfriend to visit her parents back home.
She began to feel cheerful at the thought.
The fingers of the young man lying on his knees twitched slightly, a very small movement that went unnoticed.
A moment later, one of the men yawned, turned his head to see the young man still deep in slumber, and told his companion, "I’m going to take a nap. You keep watch."

One fell asleep while the other began to yawn repeatedly, nodding off.
The young man slowly opened his eyes, which were as clear as crystal, devoid of any impurities, pristine and translucent.
He gently turned his head to look at the two men who seemed to have fallen asleep.
A slight smile curved at the corners of his mouth.
He turned to gaze out the window at the pitch-black night sky. The clouds hid within the darkness, deep and stunning.
