A Top Scholar in Everything Chapter 49

Dong Chunsheng rapidly explained the key points on stage.

The students in the auditorium were diligently taking notes.

Everyone, regardless of gender, was working hard with heads down.

Only through teamwork among the groups could they barely manage to record all the key points from the PPT.

The projection on the big screen paused.

Dong Chunsheng stood at the podium, scanning the whole room with his eyes:

"I have finished detailing the key points of this Magic Energy course.

Next, the notes in your hands will serve as your guide.

Your task before 5 PM this afternoon is to understand the key points noted down, and then you will receive my assessment.

Remember, only if the whole team passes the assessment will it be considered as passing.

Anyone who does not pass will not need to attend the upcoming exchange courses.

If you don’t understand any key points, you can ask other teams.

But everyone has the right to refuse.

After all, the key points of this course were meticulously prepared by our teaching group.

Most of your teams will need at least a day to figure out how to pass the assessment."

The faces of the students in the whole room slightly changed.

Dong Chunsheng’s words were clear—each team had to rely on themselves.

Failing the assessment was tantamount to elimination.

Although they did not know what opportunities they would lose after being eliminated from the exchange course, it was clearly not a good thing.

All the students started working as teams, sharing the key points recorded, and then collaboratively studying and understanding them.

"I only recorded the content of the first three PPT slides; the information afterward was too much to write down." Ning Qian looked frustrated.

"I recorded five slides here, but it’s a shame we can’t take photos with phones, or it wouldn’t be so troublesome." Qin Shou grumbled discontentedly.

"We should have started with division of labor.

One person could record a quarter of the content for each PPT slide, so there would be no repetition, achieving maximum efficiency.

I think people from other schools probably did the same."

Yue Zian pulled out his notebook, which was filled with key points.

But he had only recorded ten pages.

The entire PPT was at least over thirty pages long.

Each page contained complex foundational knowledge of Magic Energy, some even involving Mysticism.

Expecting one student to complete it was wishful thinking.

"Why didn’t you say this earlier?"

Qin Shou was so frustrated he could have spat blood.

You only mention this after the PPT is over—aren’t you sabotaging your team? A huge sabotage at that.

"I had my reasons for not saying anything."

Yue Zian sighed and glanced elsewhere.

Qin Shou and Ning Qian also followed his gaze, their eyes meeting the densely written notebook in Baiyu’s hand.

"Baiyu, could you possibly have written it all down?"

Qin Shou raised an eyebrow and asked what he himself thought was an impossible question.

To his despair, he received an affirmative response.

"Yes, I finished writing just as Teacher Dong ended. These should just be the basic knowledge of Magic Energy, quite simple really. Wait, what’s with those looks on your faces?"

Baiyu had written all the knowledge points deeply etched into his mind onto his notebook.

It was as effortless as copying out "In front of my bed, the bright moonlight" and "It seems like frost on the ground."

"I guessed it, monster."

Yue Zian, with dark circles under his eyes, stared at Baiyu, sizing him up from head to toe.

"Stop looking at me with those lecherous eyes, you bastard."

"You can’t be human, can you? Are you some kind of mutant aberration? Gaining a lot of mysterious knowledge but still maintaining a human form!"

"Get lost; if I mutated, you’d be the first I’d skin alive."

Baiyu rolled his eyes in annoyed resignation: "Copy the key points from this notebook and understand them thoroughly—you shouldn’t have much problem.

I’ve made secondary annotations on the theories and knowledge; it should be simple for you to grasp."

One phrase simultaneously appeared in the minds of the three, ’cling to a big shot.’

One god leads three burdens.

This was a legitimate and reasonable way to cling to a big shot.

After all, they were all team members, following the lead, tightly holding onto the dream’s hand.

Already somewhat numb to Baiyu’s abnormality, Qin Shou was the first to react, then picked up the notebook and started frantically copying. Ning Qian and Yue Zian, also snapping back to reality, were not far behind.

The three were like parched land.

"Although there’s a deep sense of frustration, studying is truly exhilarating. I think I’m falling in love with this feeling." Yue Zian exclaimed while copying.

The other students were also surprisingly staring at the situation over there.

Baiyu was Linjiang First Middle School’s champion seed, a focal figure, never lacking attention whenever, wherever.

Seeing him resting casually against the desk while his three teammates were intently writing, everyone had a significant question mark in their minds.

They all had seen Baiyu’s indifferent performance during class.

He hadn’t even lifted his head to look at the podium once!

So, what was this all about now?

"Could it be that Baiyu integrated all the key points on his own, copying it out for the other three? The legendary one-god-leading-three-carries?"

"You’re dreaming. Even if seven people worked together to record the points from the PPT, time would still be tight. Does he possibly have seven hands and photographic memory to instantaneously understand these points? Do you take him for a supercomputer?"

"Maybe they gave up; after all, Linjiang First Middle School is always last at the end, knowing they’re not opponents and choosing to lose gracefully."

Whispers of speculation arose quietly in the auditorium.

"Big Boss Yuan, perhaps Baiyu’s team has given up."

In the Rising Sun School area.

A girl spoke softly to Feng Yuan.

Feng Yuan, sharing his understanding in his notebook with teammates, was largely unmoved:

"Hmm, there’s nothing significant about Linjiang First Middle School.

Their gaokao results rank last among over ten schools every year.

My aim is to secure first place in the martial exam.

The only ones who can truly be my competition are Lan Ziyue and Xiang Le.

We’re here to fight for more resources for the school.

Once Linjiang First Middle School’s resources are reduced, the excess will depend on the overall performance in gaokao of each school."

Other schools also spread the news about Baiyu’s team.

Lan Ziyue was not at the least surprised.

Someone who skips even the school-arranged courses, what real skills could they have?

Wasting educational resources.

She continued to focus, sharing key points with her group members, striving to be the first team to pass the assessment with full marks.

Others might not know.

But Xu Jin had privately told her the inside story.

This exchange course was a major screening, attracting all of Linjiang City’s attention here.

Those who stood out in the exchange course would receive a significant tilt of resources from Linjiang City over the next two months, with strong development support.

The more outstanding the performance, the more benefits that could be won in the future.

Schools are not an Ivory Tower.

Martial Artists must compete, Martial Dao must compete!

Everything has to be fought for oneself!

Having risen from the slums to today, she understood deeply the harshness of this world.

No matter what you want, you have to compete for it.

Time ticked by, second by second.

Right when other teams were still pondering over these obscure and difficult key points.

Suddenly, a voice broke through the sound of scribbling in the auditorium.

"Teacher, our team requests an assessment!"

Ning Qian, blushing, stood up and walked to the podium.

This immediately caused everyone in the auditorium to lift their heads, their eyes falling upon her.
