A Villain's POV Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Plotting

Raze had only talked to Joel for a few reasons. The first one was to ascertain that he was Joel. The second one was to let Joel know that he was still alive.

Sure, Joel knew that Raze was still alive, but Raze had to come and let him know himself. It added a well-needed fear factor to the whole thing.

Joel would be looking over his shoulder every day now because he was the only one who knew that Raze had tried to kill Alex.

He also came to Raze's room that night to tell him what happened. He felt Raze would be kicked out the next day and that he would be free, but it turned out life was a bitch, and another person had tried to kill the girl rather than Raze.

Raze stepped out of the class. He walked down the hallway and then spotted Alex walking towards the restrooms. Alex's steps were fast and rushed.

Raze knew something was definitely up. Maybe it was his letter still making Alex panic, so he waited for Alex to enter, and then he walked towards the bathroom as well.

He didn't enter. He stood a small distance away, opened his journal, took out his pen, and then activated his spatial zone.

It stretched out and covered the restroom up to where Alex was. Now, Raze could see, hear, and know everything that was happening there.

The restrooms were built as stalls of wood, with smooth black marble seats inside for releasing waste. There were buckets filled with water to wash and flush.

Alex sat on one of the toilets. His clothes were still all on him, so Raze knew that he was not there to relieve himself.

But Alex was not the only person inside the restroom. There was another figure seated in the next stall.

This person was fully covered in a hooded robe, and somehow, the hooded robe was blocking Raze's sensing. He couldn't make out the face.

"Why did you call me here? I've locked the restroom for a few minutes, but if we're not fast, someone might report to a teacher about the locked door, so be quick," the figure spoke.

"I know it's an inconvenience to call you here, but she said I could always reach out to you in matters like this," Alex said and then slid the letter that Raze had given him under the stall into the next stall.

The figure picked up the letter and read the contents.

"Hmm, I see. This might be a very big issue when you look at it, but regardless of your status and blessing, lying to the academy and the students is still a big issue.

We can't let whoever this person is tarnish your reputation. You are the savior of this world, and you are a beacon. We must keep it that way no matter what.

"Tonight, head to the Chapel of the Seven Divine Gods. Meet whoever this person is, and I'll be there. As soon as I get the chance, I'll attack and take this person out.

I doubt the person will be too strong. If they were, they wouldn't have gone through such methods—or so I think," the figure said.

"Thank you. Tell the lady that I am grateful to her as well," Alex said and got up from the toilet. He opened the stall and headed for the door. He opened it and walked out, leaving the area.

Raze himself had moved immediately after they finished talking, heading to the next class to sit down and plot even more.

Those two wanted to catch him. To be honest, it was a good plan, and he would have most likely been caught if he hadn't heard what they said. But he did hear. He heard everything.

"I need to be more careful. It seems our hero is not alone," Raze said to himself.

The story never mentioned any helpers or any lady. They were never included. Everyone believed that the hero, Alex, was an underdog who rose to grace by himself, pulling the eyes of the gods toward him with his pure heart and unshakable spirit for justice.

It seemed not even the hero was black and white. Sure, he did some questionable actions in the story, but it was all in the name of justice—or so the author made it out to be.

But Raze could see it all now. He could see everything, and the justice didn't seem to make sense.

"Well, whatever. That's not my problem. My goal is to be the greatest pain in the ass this academy has ever seen," Raze said. He made it to his class and walked in. It was close to their last class, but not the same class.

It was the Rune Casting class, and Raze was quite intrigued by it. No, scratch that—he wanted to learn it as best as he could because if he did, he would be able to craft some wicked stuff. His evil would be off the charts.

Like, he would make people's lives a living hell, and that's exactly why he wanted it and needed it.

He wouldn't have to buy everything from the system. He could craft some simple ones on his own and then use the system for the more complex ones.

Some students were already in the class, seated and doing whatever they were doing. He spotted Sage but decided that, for now, he would keep a good distance. He sat down close to the front, took out his journal, and started writing.

**(The meeting with Alex at midnight... Someone will return to attack me, probably assassinate me. I'll have to ensure that there is no way that person can do this easily.

My spatial dome can only last for so long, so I have to position myself properly in the chapel. If I get the right angle, an attack from my blind spots will be difficult.

So I can lure the person to attack at the time I want and where I want.)**
