Absolute Cheater Chapter 325

Inside the hidden sanctum, Veyra was already undergoing the trial. The chamber glowed red and black. Shadows danced. Phantoms of the past rose—old vampires, nobles of the Duskroot line, watching her, judging her.

Her body trembled. Her blood boiled. The Bloodroot of the Crimson Bloom responded with fierce abandon, merging, reshaping.

A voice echoed in her mind:

"You are no longer bound to flesh. Accept the hunger. Accept the dusk. Accept your rebirth."

When the light faded, Veyra stood transformed. Her skin paler, her eyes deeper red, and a black sigil burned faintly on her collarbone—the crest of the Duskroot legacy.

She was no longer human.

She had become a Vampire Noble, heir to one of the most ancient and powerful bloodlines in existence.

Veyra stared at her reflection in the smooth black surface of the legacy chamber. "This is…?" she whispered, running her fingers over her pale skin. Her body felt stronger—at least three times stronger than before. She could feel it in her muscles, in the way her senses hummed with detail. Even her regeneration had advanced—if her head were severed, she was certain it would grow back.

Her eyes widened as a pulse of crimson light flickered in her chest. "This is a legacy tomb," she murmured. "Then that… that was the legacy trial. And I passed it."

Breathless and awestruck, she stood still for a long moment before whispering to herself with trembling relief, "Finally… I have some power."

Just then, a voice echoed through the chamber. Familiar. Teasing.

"Congratulations, my lady," Asher said from the edge of the room, leaning casually against a pillar of dusksteel. "You managed to awaken the ancient blood without dying. I'd say that's impressive."

Veyra blinked in disbelief. "You've been watching me the whole time?"

"I wanted to see if your fate would align with the legacy," he said, stepping forward. "The truth is, I sent you into Shardrift Valley for a reason. That place… it draws those touched by luck or destiny. Or whatever else you want to call it."

She narrowed her eyes. "So this was a test?"

Asher nodded. "In a way. I already knew this legacy tomb belonged to the founder of the Duskroot family. I thought, if fate favored you, you'd be chosen. And you were."

Veyra looked down at her hands, power crackling faintly beneath her skin. Then she glanced back at Asher, her voice low. "But why me? Why go through all this? I would have followed you anyway. I already swore loyalty to you. You could've just ordered me…"

Asher's expression turned calm and serious. "It's not about loyalty. Vampires value bloodlines above all else. Mine… is something far above yours. But now?" He raised a hand and flicked a droplet of golden-red blood into the air. It shimmered like molten starlight. "Now, you've taken the first step toward standing beside me."

She stared, stunned, as the blooddrop floated toward her and entered her chest. Her body responded instantly. Her aura surged. Her strength doubled again—she could feel it.

"That drop was a part of my vampire seed," Asher said. "Not enough to make you like me, but enough to bind you as one of the Seven. Only seven may carry my direct mark. You are the first."

Her breath caught in her throat.

She could feel it… the essence of power within her now. She was no longer the helpless girl clinging to Bloodroot techniques and willpower. She had awakened something greater. Her bloodline had been rewritten.

She was no longer just Veyra.

She was a Noble Vampire, favored of a Progenitor.

Looking down at her trembling hands, strength and emotion surged through her chest. She turned to Asher and bowed her head, not in servitude—but in thanks.

"…Thank you," she said softly, tears forming in her eyes.

"What do you mean by 'part of the Seven'?" Valeris asked from the side, her brow slightly raised.

Asher turned to her, speaking with calm authority. "Ah, yes. I was ignoring my vampiric legacy for a while… I thought the only noteworth ability is Eternal Creation. But it's far more than that. My bloodline—the true progenitor's line—has hidden structures. One of them is the Seven-Blood Covenant. Seven people—no more, no less—can carry a direct mark of my blood and bond. They become more than just Nobles. They are…" He paused, lifting his fingers to show a glimmer of golden-red light. "like apostles like Seven nagels of God."

Valeris blinked, then looked to Veyra with a curious expression. "So what does that make her now?"

Asher nodded toward the newly awakened woman. "She's no longer just a Noble heir. She's now an Empyrean Vampire—a class that exists above even ancient lineages. Only those touched directly by my blood can reach that level."

Veyra's eyes widened. "Empyrean…?"

Valeris turned to Asher with a playful but serious glint in her eyes. "Make me one too"

Asher looked at her, as she stepped closer to him. "You don't need to ask," he said, but Valeris shook her head "The real reason I brought Veyra into our path—besides her potential—was because I saw her fate line. It was woven with yours, My love. In one future, you would have met her regardless and grown close to her… even loved her."

Asher looked surprised, then glanced at Veyra. "So… she was always meant to be part of us?"

"Yes," Valeris said simply. "And now that future is real."

Veyra looked between them, stunned. "Wait… wife? I… I don't understand."

Valeris smiled faintly and stepped forward, gently touching Veyra's shoulder. "I can see fate, Actaully, And you were one of his future wife, though in future you were an powerful lady not like how you are now"

Veyra flushed, heart racing. But she didn't mind it—somewhere deep inside, something had changed. Her bond to Asher wasn't just power. It was belonging.

Valeris looked at her warmly. "And you're one of us now. Not just in name, or power, but in heart."

Veyra's lips trembled, but she bowed her head with grace. "Then I'll stay by your side, both of you… for as long as I live."
