Ryuk eyes flashed before glancing down at his hand.
Right now, his index and middle fingers had been cut off—before turning into glitched energy that disappeared into the void.
He had suffered in the first exchange.
“I can sense it now. His power and sheer vibration speed. It slices through even my endurance of 1000 points.”
“This can only mean his power level… it’s also at the Eternity level,” Ryuk muttered under his breath, watching the General levitate in the air briefly before glitching again.
He glitched left—50 meters.
Glitched again—front.
Then appeared behind.
Then in front again—and behind once more.
It turned into a full-blown circle, and Ryuk’s eyes began rotating furiously in their sockets, barely able to keep up with the speed.

Instantly, from behind Ryuk’s back, a destructive beam of glitched energy spiraled downward toward his heart.
Yet mere inches before it struck, Ryuk’s hand bent unnaturally—appearing directly behind him to the tip of the sword—and he suddenly clenched his fingers.
The edge of the sword exploded into nothingness as the General shot backward, looking at his weapon—whose tip was now missing.

He calmly turned glancing at Ascendant General Oblivor who was holding onto a sword with broken edge.

The General looked at his broken sword one last time before it dissolved into nothing but energy.

Ryuk watched quietly, analyzing silently as he watched the grimoire closed before moving behind General Oblivor spine and fusing with it.

This time, the words weren’t like a hundred people speaking at the same time.
It was a hum—low and mechanical.

The air around the General began to warp gravity twisting unnaturally.

A pulse bloomed outwards as Ryuk eyed the techno plate pattern around his chest.
It suddenly eroded, shifting within and revealing something.
A Blackhole whose depth brewed something that made Ryuk’s sine tingle and then—

It poured outward with raw power—a silent, devastating release of glitched energy that rushed toward Ryuk, who slowly grinned as he stepped toward the approaching pillar of glitched energy, his palm spreading forward.
A vortex of blue began spinning in his eyes and instantly, the view of the world around him changed.
From destructive glitched energy to a well-arranged assembly of bonds lattices formed.
His will gushed out as Sovereign Rewriting was activated to its max.
Ryuk’s eyes flashed with endless focus and stillness, all playfulness gone.
His thought got to work and they began overwriting the attack, remodifying it—changing the source code built into each specific part but the attack wasn’t stopping and just when it seemed doomed for Ryuk to be blown through,
The General watched as the attack suddenly paused right when it was an inch from touching Ryuk’s fingers.

Ryuk suddenly whispered out—and in the next instant:
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The energy that surged toward him instantly turned back, rushing with the same momentum and power toward the Ascended General, whose eyes widened in shock.
His own attack had been turned against him—rewritten with half the power and momentum!
