Abyss Draconis Chapter 638

The first Major Zone is an EiD type.

"Basically, an Environmental Induced Danger Zone..." Elder Celine’s voice rang out as Ryuk caught sight of a beeping hologram by the side.

Dragging it to the center and clicking on it, it instantly magnified into a 3D representational scene of a void environment.

One littered with countless fragments of half-broken celestial bodies. Placing his hands on it and magnifying the footage, he could see lines and runes on every rock.

But not only that, there was an energy wave around from the runes on each rock that caused space to wrap around it.

A small but pitch-black vacuum of space, almost like a black hole, surrounded every stray body. The larger the rock fragments, the worse—and bigger—the black hole around them seemed.

There was just enough space between each of these rocks that the aircraft could pass through, but with the presence of those black holes, he had no idea if things would be just as simple as maneuvering through each.

These black holes could cause further destabilization to the surrounding space, potentially resulting in unknown consequences.

"Seems like we’ll be needing a very good pilot for this one?" Rakshasa asked from the side, as Elder Celine nodded before replying.

"True. We need someone to help maneuver through these objects."

"But due to the presence of these black holes—and each of the stones holding different runes, which could very well mean inducing different forces on space—we will need more than just maneuvering." She finished as a moment of silence appeared before the voice_

"We need a barrier of energy that can envelop the entire ship. One strong enough to remain impervious to whatever effects the presence of these mini black holes may induce on the surrounding space."

"If we can get a barrier to protect us from these forces, then all will be safe, as long as the aircraft is properly maneuvered through," Ryuk voiced out.

Three seconds later, to allow his words to sink in, he continued.

"I can cover the entire spaceship in my Void Aura. With us being in the Void, not only does its effectiveness increase even more, but it gets easier to create something like a Void teleportation force field all around the plane."

"Any effect will be like throwing a ball at it. Its only fate will be to get teleported off, hence saving us the headaches of unknown Void effects."

"Then Elder Celine, who I guess will be the pilot, can simply focus on maneuvering us through and avoid any collision. This will continue until we’re out of the zone." He gave a simple plan that caused eyebrows to furrow.

It was an almost completely sound plan, which they couldn’t think of any holes in—except for the fact: are they really sure he’ll be able to truly cover the entire spaceship in Void Aura, which would allow resistance to all the effects?

"And what is the plan, in the case that you’re unable to do that?" Elder Celine asked.

As much as she hated to believe it, it wouldn’t hurt to create a backup plan in case things turned south.

"Then, any better idea is welcome. If there’s none, we simply find a different route."

"I bet this isn’t the only route through, is it?" he asked as Elder Celine nodded before replying.

"Yes, there’s a better route that’s much, much safer—but it will take us an extra week to get through. I was hoping we could avoid that," she said, the haste in her voice clear.

"I truly hope so too. But if we have no choice in the end, then at least we’ll have a safe path, even if it takes much longer."

"Better than having the spaceship damaged and getting stuck in the middle of nowhere..." he replied, but then Antares’ voice rang out.

"And how long from now before we get to this zone?"

In an instant, a new beeping hologram appeared before each of them as Ryuk tapped on his to find a countdown appearing before him.

"Exactly 72 hours, 45 minutes, and 12 seconds—if Snowero continues at its current speed..." she replied, and they all nodded.

"I guess that’s resolved," Elder Celine said, continuing.

"If so, let’s get to the next danger zone," she said, about to send the footage but was stopped by the objection.

"Actually," Ryuk voiced out as Elder Celine’s hand halted.

"Unless the 2nd Danger Zone will be immediately after the 1st Danger Zone, then I suggest we leave it until we’ve passed through the currently approaching Danger Zone. And by immediately, I mean within 24 hours or less."

"Learning of the second zone will only create unnecessary pressure—and maybe fear. Better to face it when we’re done with the first one." He voiced, as Elder Celine tapped on the hologram, calculating the time. Eventually, she nodded.

"Fine. We’ll talk about the second zone after we’ve phased through the first."

"Apart from the danger zones, is there anything else we should be worried about?" Isha asked, as Elder Celine tapped on an interface, running her fingers through.

"Yes, there are indeed many things. But the only threats with more than a 70% chance of occurrence are Void Beasts trying to cause problems or Interstellar Pirates who try to loot spaceships or bring a fancy one down just to sell it for parts."

"In short, we watch out for beasts and bandits," she explained, as Ryuk’s brow drew together.

’To think, even in space, there are bandits too. Must be a hard job.’

[Yes, but it surely pays well. Imagine one getting their hands on these spaceships you guys are on. It will probably sell for more than trillions of star coins on Endearth.]

[A big win to the space pirate group. And even if they didn’t decide to sell it, they could decide to own it themselves. Improve their lives and their jobs. It’s a risky job—but it pays well.]

"If there’s any Void Beasts or Void Pirates, then I can handle that..." Antares’ voice rang out from the side.

"True. The big guy is truly quite strong..." Void voiced lazily from the side.

"If that’s resolved, we’re set for a smooth flight for the next three Endearthian days." Elder Celine dragged back the hologram before tapping a button, and Ryuk watched the holograph disappear, returning the room to its previous living room form.
