Uncle Bob was able to bring Ryuk back to life when he was only a baby made of hearts, lungs, and his heart.
Isn’t there a possibility that Ryuk can bring Uncle Bob back with his veins that were supposed to pass blood through his body?
Perhaps he could gain back all that was given to him? Perhaps he could get the justice he deserved and make all the people who took everything from him pay for their crimes.
All of this was a clear possibility. It was just as possible as everything being taken from Ryuk. But then, would he achieve all of this if he sat down here and remained sober?
Then what is the point? What other choice does he have if not to firm himself up and fight and train even harder? Grow stronger, so he could ensure that this never happens again.
Because verily, the people who had taken away everything from him are currently still looking for him through the galaxies, just like Uncle Bob had said.

Sober up and fall into guilt? Would that do anything but make it easier for those people to get him more easily? Then what other choice does he even have, if not to fight till the very end?
He had been given one of the best bodies by Uncle Bob—one of an ancient technological race. He had been given cultivation veins to allow him to pass Apex Energy through his body and give him the ability of cultivation. He had been given the system, an unknown artifact whose potential, right now, he couldn’t even see.
In short, Ryuk had everything he needed—everything to make the impossible possibility become reality.
And somehow, he ought to leave all of those and fall into guilt?
After all that Uncle Bob had done, he would make all of the man’s efforts be in vain and drown in guilt?
Such a pathetic existence. So pathetic, even Ryuk himself felt disgusted.
No! He wouldn’t fall so low. He would train hard, and keep fighting. And keep fighting.
He wouldn’t wait for his enemies to come to him. He would grow strong enough and go out there, searching for them and eliminating them one by one.
This was the only way—the only choice Ryuk had chosen for himself.
The game hasn’t changed at all. His path hasn’t changed at all either.
His vengeance is his fuel that drives him on this path, and this time the stakes have only been increased, not changed.
And Ryuk himself has also increased, as he had also learned more of himself and undergone significant level-ups, gaining an even more in-depth understanding of what he was capable off.
In the end, the game was still on. Nothing has changed other than increased stakes and increased potential.
Why would he quit or even stop fighting now of all times?
Slowly settling back into his seat, Ryuk’s lips opened up, and he puffed out loud, intense white air blowing out of his lungs.

Instantly, all of his somber aura had been thrown out of the window, and he was back to his normal self once more.

All of the source energy must have somehow gone to evolving my nanobody, leaving none for me to add to my stats…" Ryuk mused silently as he looked at the stats and saw no extra points gained—something that had happened when he first absorbed source energy.
Somehow, he had been expecting massive increases in stats, and that was why he had been able to easily notice the absence of it.
"Now, how do I add the stat points?" Ryuk wondered as his eyes focused on his highly irregular stats before he made his choice.
"Add 10 points to Strength, 10 points to Agility, 20 points to Endurance, and the rest to Intelligence."
Immediately after ordering that, he once more felt the familiar invigorating stream of energy flowing through his body before it quickly settled.

"My quick reaction to the Lava Crocodiles, my skill control, and uses—I can somehow sense that my Intelligence affects them in some way."
"Ignoring my Intelligence is a stupid move, as even if not instantly revealing like the other stats, it takes care of me in the last minute and greatly helps avoid sneak attacks and use my abilities well."
"That can just be what tilts the tide of battle in my favor in an important match…" Ryuk mused to himself.
