Lyu’s projection appeared on Yang Ming’s shoulder, whispering, "Boss, Bryant’s psychological defenses have been breached by me. Do you want to start subduing him now? According to my calculations, you have a seventy-one percent chance of making Bryant completely loyal to you."
"How did you do it?" Yang Ming asked curiously.
Lyu explained somewhat sheepishly, "Since this is the first time dealing with a transformed life form with strong Spiritual Power, I had to use slightly more aggressive methods."
A new image appeared in front of Yang Ming.
This was what Bryant was experiencing.
The image initially played at a hundred times speed; as Lyu pointed forward with his finger, the image returned to normal.
It was a silver-gray room, where a boyish Bryant was curled up in a corner, faced with several fierce mechanical dogs. Occasionally, one would charge up and drag Bryant around the room.
Outside the room, there were countless mechanical dogs.
"This is Bryant’s childhood trauma," Lyu muttered softly.
The picture then resumed fast-forwarding, as the room began to shrink, and similar rooms appeared alongside it.
Room after room with similar but different content formed a cubic array, densely packed and uncountable.
Yang Ming couldn’t help but lean back slightly.
Impressive, Lyu redefined what "slightly aggressive" meant.
"What do I need to do?" Yang Ming asked, "Should I directly unleash spiritual power and confront him head-on?"
"This is an essential stage," Lyu said earnestly, "whoever loses becomes the slave; that’s the fundamental rule of spiritual warfare among the Transformed, but rest assured, boss, your chance of losing is negligible."
Yang Ming was puzzled, "Then why is there only a seventy-one percent success rate in subduing him?"
Lyu answered, "There is still a twenty percent chance that he might collapse or have self-protective amnesia, which would render him worthless. Without value, there’s no need for existence; that’s your principle. There’s also a slight possibility that he could transcend during the confrontation with you, but I have prepared for that possibility!"
Two mechanical arms extended from beside the chair, aiming mining lasers at Bryant.
Lyu proudly remarked, "If he wins, I’ll physically destroy his brain."
Nearby, a mechanical arm handed over a helmet to access the virtual world.
Yang Ming smiled calmly, put the helmet on, crossed his arms behind his back, and closed his eyes.

"If it really comes to that, remember to act quickly," Yang Ming reminded with unease.
Lyu nodded vigorously beside him, giving Yang Ming a thumbs-up.
The whole process actually went quite smoothly.
Yang Ming seemed to be confronting an already exhausted poisonous snake, needing only to fend off its final struggle before stepping on it to remove its fangs and imprinting his Spiritual Imprint into its brain.
This indeed carried significant risks; the Spiritual Imprint was not as dependable as a one-click headshot.
But Yang Ming had to take this risk now.
By controlling Bryant, he could tear open a path in the Emperor Star Circle. This was the shortcut Yang Ming saw before attending the appointment.
Three Galaxy Days later.
The manor seemed to have returned completely to tranquility, the traces of battle swept away without a trace.
Yang Ming stood by the pool, quietly observing the beautiful girl still sleeping soundly on the bedroom bed.
Dressed in a gray robe, Bryant was now standing by the bed, turning to look at Yang Ming with a questioning gaze. Yang Ming gave a slight nod, and Bryant then lowered his head, slowly knelt down, and used a strand of spiritual power to gently touch Catherine’s eyelid.
Yang Ming’s only challenge now was how to gain Catherine’s trust.
