A large number of soldiers wanting to support upward could only use the safety routes and aircraft channels.
The aircraft channels, being fully automated, were directly shut down by the Emperor Guard System, and the safety routes, being easy to defend and hard to attack, could be sealed with a small portion of the Intelligent Machine forces, blocking the upward route from the fourth layer and the downward route from the twelfth layer.
Most of the New Federation’s garrisoned soldiers in the fortress were stuck in the middle, unable to move.
Then, the surface Intelligent Mechanic Army swiftly gathered, invading the mid-layers of the fortress comprehensively.
The human armed forces in the mid-layers of the fortress were insufficient, lacking fixed heavy firepower. The Intelligent Mechanic Army swept through every place like a flood, perfectly controlling the scene, then proceeded to jump into the fortress’s core layer using the same tactics.
Saying they won with fewer against many was no exaggeration.

Yang Ming laughed awkwardly, “Would she be interested in the New Federation’s technology? She wants that technology just to verify and observe the New Federation’s civilization development level, not for secrecy.”
Griss rubbed his nose, stuffing two chips into Yang Ming’s hand, “You hand it over, this is some of the information I copied. One is about the New Federation’s biochemical experiments and the other is from the New Federation’s new material research. The originals were destroyed.”
Yang Ming’s eyes lit up, “Thanks, I’ll treat you to a meal later.”
“Remember to hand in a copy.”
Yang Ming pocketed the chips, dragging Griss to wander around the ruins at the rear.
Each layer within the fortress was very vast.
The outer twelve layers were built with simulated planetary skies, while the middle twelve layers were arranged with a futuristic feel; each layer had a minimum height of two thousand meters, ensuring no sense of oppression.
Griss lamented, “How much would it cost the New Federation to build a fortress ?”
“Money isn’t the only metric; time, resources, and long-term human resource allocation,” Yang Ming lamented. “For a country as powerful as the New Federation, having one or two iconic heavy weapons is indeed necessary, and this time, we got a bargain.”
“Can this thing be transported back to the Empire?”
“Of course not,” Yang Ming laughed. “To pull it out of the current Constant Star System would take decades at least.”
Griss frowned, “Then are we taking it for nothing?”
“We can dismantle everything useful,” Yang Ming clicked his tongue. “If the Empire’s high command is ruthless and grits their teeth to escort this thing with battleships, applying the Empire’s fortress jump technology to it, wouldn’t they have another Heavenly Fury Fortress?”
Griss shook his head with a smile, “I guess it’s difficult, as the fortress jump technology is the Empire’s top secret, constructing it within the New Federation’s territory seems unlikely.”
“Who knows how the outside fight is going?”
As soon as Yang Ming finished speaking, the fortress began to shake continuously, as if it were undergoing successive attacks.
“I’ll go up and take a look,” Yang Ming said quietly.
“I’ll find the ship for escape,” Griss understood, “then notify the other three.”
