Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World Chapter 42

After Tianling’s dramatic declaration, a sudden stillness swept across the floating mountain top.

Then without warning — a soft ripple of blue light shimmered into existence around each participant.

The translucent glow surrounded every participant remaining, forming a protective, bubble-like barrier around their bodies.

Yu Xuan glanced around as the air shifted.

Then came the sensation of weightlessness.

His feet lifted off the ground.

So did Lingluo’s, and Tianmei’s, and the rest of the Yu Clan disciples — all drifting slowly into the air, like leaves caught in a rising wind.

Before they could question what was happening, the sky above cracked.

It wasn’t thunder — it was reality itself cracking.

Fine golden lines traced themselves across the firmament.

The once-stable golden heavens began to fracture, under unseen pressure. The cracks stretched far and wide, branching like veins of light across the sky.

The temporary dimension was collapsing.

Yu Xuan narrowed his eyes.

’So the whole space was created just for this trial... and now that it’s over, it’s being discarded.’

All around him, other disciples floated helplessly in their individual bubbles, eyes wide with a mixture of awe and anxiety.

Above them, Tianling hovered alone in the sky, hands raised. The Artifact Spirit formed a series of hand seals in rapid succession — blinding in speed, glowing with ethereal symbols that resonated with the very fabric of space.

Then he clapped once.

The separate protective bubbles began drifting toward each other. They didn’t collide — instead, they smoothly merged into a massive sphere of glowing blue light, forming a perfect cluster in midair.

Yu Xuan, Lingluo, Tianmei and the remaining participants from various worlds floated gently into this larger construct. There was no pain — only a gentle tug, like being pulled into a warm current.

When the last bubble was in place, a soft hum resonated across the sky.

Tianling gave a small, satisfied nod.

With a final flick of his hand — they vanished.

They disappeared from the dimension like a stone dropped into a still pond.

Below, the golden platform split.

Above, the sky shattered completely.

And the void devoured the remains of the trial.

A massive blue bubble drifted silently through the void between minor realms, where space shimmered and twisted.

It surged forward at a speed beyond mortal comprehension — faster than light itself.

The bubble shimmered with ethereal light, its surface pulsing softly, as though it carried something sacred.

Dozens more followed in its wake — each containing participants from distant minor realms, races, and trial zones.

All were sealed within protective layers of the bubble, carried like treasured seeds across the void.

Their destination loomed ahead.

In the far distance, a colossal boundary revealed itself — a cosmic shield that stretched beyond sight, appearing like an endless dome.

It wasn’t merely a defense.

A veil that separated the Minor Realms from something far greater — or perhaps, kept something greater from spilling into the worlds below.

Was it a guardian? Or a prison?

The lead bubble began to slow as it neared the great boundary.

And near that divine curtain, anchored to its very edge was a sight even more breathtaking.

A floating continent.

It was impossibly vast, dwarfing even the largest of Heavenly Worlds. From a distance, it looked like a divine landmass sculpted by the heavens themselves and suspended in the void like a sacred jewel.

Towering mountains pierced into sky.

Spirit rivers, glowing silver and gold, flowed through the valleys like veins of power.

Ancient pagodas, majestic palaces, and immortal towers glimmered along ridges and peaks.

This wasn’t just a continent.

The domain of the Mini Heaven Immortal Sect.

As the first massive bubble arrived near the realm’s perimeter, it gently halted, drawn toward the glowing runes carved into the outer barrier.

One by one, the smaller bubbles merged into it — guided by invisible forces.

Then, in perfect harmony, they all passed through the shield.

They vanished, absorbed into the sacred domain.

Moments later, more bubbles emerged from the void — bearing survivors of other trials, from other corners.

And like those before them, they too disappeared — entering the world that lay beyond the veil.

The temporary trial space had ended.

The true journey... was just beginning.

[Continued from Chapter 34]

"Hahaha..." I laughed heartily, receiving my monthly cultivation resources from the Mission Hall’s Resource Center.

This month had been eventful.

I’d completed a few missions — mostly minor sect disputes, bandit suppression, and, of course, saving beauties left and right.

Truly, I loved that part the most.

"Hahahaha!" I laughed again, basking in my greatness.

During one particular mission, I encountered an old man who claimed to sell legendary books — a travelling peddler of mysterious origins.

At first, I scoffed. Picture books? For whom? Children?

But as we spoke more, I discovered that the man — who introduced himself as Ji Raiya — was not only the artist behind those picture books but a fellow cultivator with similar worldview.

We talked about the Dao.

We talked about art, passion and balance.

Strangely, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the conversation.

Before leaving, I bought one of his works at discount — a thick, mysterious volume filled with... illustrations.

He said it was a "discount for like-minded souls."

That person with surname Ji was interesting.

Upon returning to the clan, I had a decision to make: Where to store this sacred treasure?

Certainly not in my room.

If my junior sister — that demoness — ever found it, I’d never hear the end of it.

Or worse, she’d steal it and make me beg for it back.

No. I had to be smart.

A thief never robs their own stash, right?

So I chose the Grand Library — the safest place in the world (or so I believed). To keep things discreet, I tucked the book near the children’s fairy tale section.

And today... today was the day I’d return and bask in the glory of Ji Raiya’s art once again.

I greeted the elder at the front desk with my usual charm, walked casually to the corner where I’d hidden the book...

"No..." I whispered, dread gripping my chest.

I stared at the empty space where the book should’ve been, my soul momentarily leaving my body.

Tears, real tears — pricked at the corners of my eyes.

But I held them back.

No. I must stay strong.

With a clenched fist and burning resolve, I looked toward the heavens and swore:

"I, Mo Ki, will find the wretched little thief who took my sacred book — even if I must search the whole world to do it!"
