"No." Chloe Grant shook her head, silently eating.
She really didn't know how to talk about this with the two elders of the Morgan family.
If they knew she had a wolfish ambition for their son and wanted to sleep with him, but ended up suffering herself, they'd probably think she deserved it.
They might even despise her.
Isabella Gray exchanged a glance with the old man beside her, their eyes signaling him to quickly think of a solution. What if dear Chloe kept feeling sad and harmed her health?
Mr. Morgan also had a headache, but he still gave his wife a reassuring look, patting his chest, indicating that he would handle everything.
After a few seconds' pause, Mr. Morgan spoke, "Chloe dear, a vacation resort was just developed in the west suburbs a few days ago. There's a small bungee jump there, not very high in altitude. Do you want to give it a try?"
Originally stirring her porridge absentmindedly, Chloe Grant heard Mr. Morgan's words and looked up. Although she didn't speak, her eyes showed a hint of interest in going.
Seeing this, Elder Morgan was quite satisfied and was about to continue speaking when there was a commotion at the door.
A man dressed like an elite entered the living room, led by a servant, holding documents and standing sternly in place.
Coincidentally, at that moment, Matthew Morgan was coming down the stairs.
The living room had two staircases, one on the left and one on the right. Matthew Morgan was coming down the staircase near the door.
He wore only a black shirt, with two buttons at the chest slightly undone, sleeves rolled up, exposing part of his arm, holding a document in his hand, his head lowered, looking through it.
Halfway down the staircase, Matthew Morgan had already finished reading, closing the document, holding it in his hand.
He lifted his eyes and glanced towards the dining area.
At that moment, Chloe Grant was eating with her head down, as if everything had nothing to do with her, looking lost.
Matthew Morgan's eyes narrowed slightly, but on the surface, he still appeared cold and expressionless.
Just after getting off the stairs, his assistant respectfully called out, "Mr. Morgan."
"The plane is ready, taking off in half an hour."
Upon hearing this in the dining room, Isabella Gray frowned immediately, standing up from her seat, walking towards Matthew Morgan, looking dissatisfied, "Flying again? Didn't you just get back yesterday?"
"Business trip." Matthew Morgan simply said.
Isabella Gray was immediately displeased, "What business trip? Work is endless. You should rest well since you just got back. Now is a perfect time; take dear Chloe to the vacation resort in the west suburbs for a few days and take her bungee jumping."
Matthew Morgan frowned instantly, "I still have work."
"You need to take a vacation and rest!" Isabella Gray directly countered, snatching the document from Matthew Morgan's hand and throwing it to the assistant beside him.
The assistant hurriedly caught it, looking puzzled.
"Julia, quickly pack some clothes for the young master and Miss Chloe, and arrange for a car to take them to the west suburbs." Isabella Gray instructed the servant.
"Yes, ma'am." Julia nodded and went to do it.
Isabella Gray leaned closer to Matthew Morgan, whispering, "You know dear Chloe only chooses two ways to heal when she's upset. One is bungee jumping, the other is eating lots of spicy food.
I don't want to see my darling's stomach have any issues, so this time, you accompany her and take good care of her."
Matthew Morgan's eyebrows were slightly furrowed, obviously a bit impatient.
The assistant, holding the documents, still thought to himself; Grandpa Morgan is usually a workaholic.
This vacation with bungee jumping is definitely not his thing, much less accompanying a young lady.
Surely he wouldn't be willing.
The assistant was waiting for Matthew Morgan to coldly and dominantly say "No time" and then leave with him.
