As Matthew Morgan stepped closer, Chloe Grant instinctively retreated, but Matthew grabbed her arm, preventing her from backing away.
"Stand still, or you’ll fall." He said righteously.
Chloe Grant looked up at him, displeased.
Matthew had already sent all the servants away.
He leaned down and whispered in Chloe’s ear, "The face is the least painful and the easiest place for others to notice. The collarbone, pinky finger, spine, ankle... these places are both painful and discreet."
After Matthew finished speaking, he straightened up naturally.
