Chloe’s heart, initially beating rhythmically, suddenly began beating wildly, like it was going mad.

Matthew reached out, furrowing his brows, and gently rubbed that area with his thumb.
Chloe shifted slightly away, cautious of S, not daring to make a loud noise.
"Meet at the Imperial Hotel in an hour."
Matthew, staring at his wrist, said directly.
Chloe was taken aback, looking up, blinking in confusion.
Matthew lifted his gaze, meeting hers.
He reached out and tucked Chloe’s bangs, which had fallen over her eyes, behind her ear.
"Don’t tell anyone about this. I’ll handle it as soon as possible, understand?" Matthew said.
And just as Matthew was about to turn and leave, Chloe suddenly grabbed his wrist.

Concern was evident in Chloe’s eyes, but she didn’t voice the question aloud.
Earlier at the hotel, she’d heard S say that this item Matthew had hidden too well, he’d tried several times and couldn’t find it.
That indicated the item was something important.
