Matthew Morgan glanced at S, didn’t say another word, and walked away.
"Ralph Koch really was right. This little girl is more important to you than anything else. You’ve shown your vulnerability in front of me, so I’ll definitely target her in the future."
S’s words made Matthew Morgan stop in his tracks.
Matthew’s face showed little emotion, cold and indifferent. He turned around and said, "The formula on the USB drive is only half, you can’t get it from me. As for her..."
He paused, then suddenly sneered and his expression darkened the next moment, "If you dare touch her, I’ll show you just how bad my temper can be."
After speaking, he turned and left!
Decisive and domineering.
S stood there, his face grim.
He had been contending with Matthew Morgan for many years, but always at a disadvantage.
If there’s a type of person who has no vulnerabilities, they are invincible.
Then, someone like Matthew Morgan is of the type who has vulnerabilities, but no one dares to touch them.
The reason Matthew openly called Chloe Grant in front of S was that he knew S wouldn’t use Chloe to threaten him a second time.
Because S knows that once Matthew is provoked, he will directly clash with S.
With S having a rival in Country Y eager for his demise, he must be smart enough not to provoke Matthew again.
S tightly clutched the USB drive.
When Matthew returned, Chloe Grant wasn’t asleep.
She had been worried all along.
"It’s fine." Matthew told her.
His attitude was the same as usual, cold and simple.
But Chloe truly breathed a sigh of relief.
Matthew’s words always carried strength; even when simple and perfunctory, they still instilled confidence.
"I’m sorry... I’ve gotten you into trouble." Chloe lowered her head, a bit dejected.
Matthew stepped forward, holding her head, pulling her into his arms.
"This is in the past now, don’t think too much about it."
After saying this, Matthew let go of Chloe.
He pulled her to the sofa, opened the medical kit he had prepared, and took out some medicines and... a scalpel.

Finally, Chloe unconsciously picked up the glass and began to drink.
After one sip, seeing Matthew with the needle and thread, she drank another half glass in fright.
Only after emptying the entire glass did she put it down.
She shifted her position on the couch a few times.

Matthew finished organizing, looked up at Chloe who had shuffled to the corner of the sofa.

"Come here," Matthew said.
Chloe instinctively shook her head, "Uncle Morgan... please... can we not use the knife... or sew the wound..."
The thought of the needle that was meant for fabric piercing flesh made her body shiver in fear!
