Zoe Graham urgently called out, but Ava Woods didn’t even turn her head, just forcefully pulled the booth door shut.
Zoe gave the two remaining people a glance, then finally stood up and went after Ava Woods.
Once she left, only Sophia Fraser and Chloe Grant were left in the booth.
Sophia Fraser didn’t look pleased, leaning back in her chair, eyes gazing elsewhere.
Chloe Grant, on the other hand, kept her head lowered, lost in her own thoughts.
The two stayed silent, and Zoe Graham didn’t return after going after Ava Woods, until a server came up to inquire about the order.
Sophia Fraser opened the menu, casually pointed at a few items, and paused when getting to the tuna, "A bit more of this."
The fish Ava Woods had mentioned as being a bit dark earlier was this one.
"Alright, is that all?" the server asked.
Sophia Fraser didn’t answer but glanced at Chloe Grant.
She was still lowering her head.
The server followed her gaze to Chloe Grant and proactively asked, "Miss, is there anything else you’d like to add?"
It took being asked twice for Chloe, as if coming to, to shake her head.
The server collected the menu and left.
Chloe Grant turned to look at Sophia Fraser... just in time as Sophia was also looking at her. Their eyes met for a brief moment before Sophia quickly looked away.
Chloe Grant pressed her lips together, then licked them, "Um... actually..."
What did she want to say?
"Why hasn’t your uncle come?"
Chloe’s words were cut off, as Sophia Fraser interrupted, her tone utterly ordinary, contrasting with Chloe’s awkwardness.
"Huh?" Chloe paused for a moment, then laughed, "He doesn’t like these events. He let us eat and will pick us up later."
"He’s coming personally?" Sophia Fraser’s eyes immediately lit up.
Sophia smiled, but the next moment, she restrained her happiness, her expression becoming quite serious.
Just then, Chloe’s phone rang, and upon picking it up, she heard Zoe Graham’s anxious voice: "Chloe, something’s wrong, come quick to the bathroom at the entrance!"
As Zoe spoke, sounds of a commotion could still be heard from her side.
Chloe Grant and Sophia Fraser exchanged glances, immediately grabbed their phones, and ran out.
The bathroom was quite far, and it took them a while to arrive after running.
Zoe Graham was in the middle of a conflict with a few people, while Ava Woods stood there soaking wet, trembling, clearly very scared.
Seeing this scene, both Chloe Grant and Sophia Fraser’s faces turned grim. Without a second thought, they rushed over and shoved the two people closest to Zoe out of the way.
The individuals didn’t expect anyone to come and were caught off guard, stumbling back several steps.
One of them exclaimed outright.
Sophia turned her head, "Who would have thought, it’s the famous socialite flower of the circle."
"Watch your mouth! Gold digger!" the other person cursed back.
Chloe Grant recognized the person... Sienna Woods.
A well-known figure at school, reportedly with a sugar daddy who was wealthy and influential in the capital city, she was always decked in luxury brands, flanked by a few underlings, tyrannizing the school.
Sophia Fraser had a beef with Sienna Woods, and as her roommate, naturally Chloe supported Sophia during their past conflicts with Sienna.
"Sophia, Chloe, this person pushed Ava’s head into the toilet, it’s just outrageous!" Zoe Graham related the situation, her face flushed with anger!
