Finally responding, Matthew Morgan carried Chloe Grant directly upstairs.
Lucas stood there, unable to process what Matthew had just said.

"Heh." Lucas suddenly laughed, "Completely insane! Insane!"

Lucas licked his lips, wanting to laugh, but he couldn’t bring himself to smile.
He wanted to be sarcastic, but couldn’t utter a single jibe!
He just felt it was absurd!
Even though Chloe is not related by blood, the uncle-niece relationship still exists.
Chloe Grant’s ID still carries the Morgan surname.
As an uncle... how could one have such improper thoughts about a niece, and for so many years...
"Insane! Insane! Truly insane!" Lucas shook his head, mumbling.
Meanwhile upstairs, Chloe was being carried into the room by Matthew, gazing at him with a tender and affectionate look the whole time.
Matthew wanted to put her down, but Chloe wouldn’t let him.
"So, my feelings were real..." Chloe murmured, staring at him.
She smiled again, with a mix of emotion and relief.
"From the moment I opened my eyes and met your gaze, I felt like I couldn’t look away.
The way you looked at me, so focused, so gentle, as if there were countless stories in your eyes, I couldn’t tear my gaze away."
Turns out all of this wasn’t a coincidence, nor for any other reason, just one thing... his feelings for me.
"Matthew, I want to marry you!"
At this moment, the emotions in Chloe’s heart exploded like a tidal wave; aside from these words, she really didn’t know how else to respond to Matthew’s feelings.
"Did I ever know you liked me this much before?" she asked again.
Matthew looked at her, then shook his head.
Chloe followed suit, shaking her head, "I must have been an idiot back then!"
She couldn’t believe she was so blind to such deep feelings.
Chloe didn’t know how others felt, nor how she felt before, but upon hearing Matthew’s words just now,
she was truly moved and shocked.
"Whatever she wants, I’ll follow her."
What depth of feeling would bring someone to this point, to follow you without a care, as long as that’s what you want, I can give it all.
"Matthew, let’s get our marriage license now, shall we? I’ll marry you! Even if I regain my memory, I don’t care!"
Chloe was somewhat excited, tightly clinging to Matthew.
"Silly girl," he suddenly laughed, indulgently patting her head.
Walking to the desk, he finally set Chloe down.
"Are you not agreeing?"
