Chloe Grant couldn’t figure out what Sophia Fraser’s true intentions were, and she didn’t want to ask either, so she simply ignored her, turning her head as if she hadn’t heard Sophia’s words at all.
This behavior made Sophia’s face instantly turn sour!
The lights in the private room were adjusted to nightclub mode, with the purple and blue lights crossing each other, casting an eerie glow on Sophia’s face!
Lily Grant commented from the side, "That’s just how she is. In the past, because of her relationship with the Morgan family, she always acted superior. Sophia’s face was already unpleasant, and hearing Lily’s words made her look even worse!
"I almost had a marriage with Grandpa Morgan, only because she refused to help me with a small matter, and that ruined everything!"
Sophia gritted her teeth, still holding a grudge over this matter to this day.
She believed that if Chloe had been willing to help contact Matthew Morgan and let her meet him, everything would have been different.
So, Sophia simply blamed Chloe for her failed marriage with Grandpa Morgan!
"Yeah, I couldn’t stand it either." Lily sighed, "I also know how well you treated her back then. At the start of the school year, you organized the dorm to go out for a meal. Many new restaurants had just opened nearby, but because they were expensive, few students could afford them. If it weren’t for you taking them, how could they have experienced so much?"
Lily spoke with a sense of regret.
The more Sophia listened, the more unsettling she felt inside.

The more Sophia thought about it, the more irritated she felt, pulling her hand away from Lily’s grasp.
Lily’s eyes flashed with impatience but she immediately smiled and grabbed Sophia’s hand again, speaking softly, "Let me tell you, the best revenge against a woman is to make her life worse than death. How does one make life worse than death?
By ensuring she remembers that her body has once been touched by a disgusting man..."
As Lily spoke, a malicious glint flashed in her eyes.
Sophia immediately understood, curling her lips into a cold smile.
"I’ve got it all planned out, don’t worry." she said.
The dinner gathering remained lively and chaotic, until people started leaving one after another.
Because she had left once before, Lori Grant wanted to leave, but Molly Polis kept stopping her, and during this time Chloe was persuaded to drink several glasses of wine due to the manager’s urging.
Chloe’s alcohol tolerance was quite good, as long as she didn’t drink too quickly, she generally wouldn’t get too drunk.
But today was oddly different...
Chloe had only drunk three or four glasses in total, though it was red wine, the amount was quite small.
Since about the age of eighteen or nineteen, she followed Isabella Gray’s advice, drinking a glass of red wine each winter night before bed.
This was meant to promote circulation and enhance beauty, especially beneficial for women.
Because of this long-term habit, Chloe was the best at handling red wine.
