In the latter half of the night, Matthew Morgan noticed that Chloe Grant’s body temperature had suddenly spiked.
Her whole body was feverish, kicking the quilt off.
She was evidently showing signs of a fever.
She mumbled, her voice tinged with a sob.
When Matthew Morgan pressed down on the quilt to stop her from kicking it off, she couldn’t struggle and started crying outright.
Matthew Morgan held down her quilt, and despite his stern face all night, he finally found a hint of a smile.
"Twenty-two and still a child," he said, his voice low, the end tinged with indulgence.
Chloe Grant felt unbearably hot, the quilt feeling as if a mountain was pressing down on her, she couldn’t breathe, it was so uncomfortable...!
In the end, as she kept crying, she directly opened her eyes.
It was an unconscious action, seeing the handsome face right in front of her, she felt a bit dazed, then smiled...
