Chloe was putting on her shoes, and upon seeing him approach, she didn’t even tie her laces, just stood up and ran out.

Chloe felt like crying, her Uncle Morgan was purely bullying her now.
She’d finished eating, why wasn’t she allowed to leave?
Seeing her fidget, Matthew coldly uttered these two words.
Though Chloe felt a thousand discomforts in her heart, she didn’t dare to act rashly in front of Matthew.
She had feared him since childhood, and had grown used to it.
Matthew merely glanced at Chloe, then squatted down, his long hand picking up her white shoelace.
Chloe was taken aback.
Was he... tying her shoelaces?
Chloe began to stand awkwardly, her heart beating with slight fluctuations.
That trembling feeling came again...
Matthew was quick, both shoelaces were securely tied.
As he stood up, that powerful aura came crashing down again, leaving Chloe both surprised and scared.
"I’m not stopping you from going out." He reached out and pinched Chloe’s cheek.
Still so tender, but unfortunately, it was obvious that there was less flesh.
She had been losing weight recently.
Matthew frowned, yet still admonished, "You need to be careful about your laces, you could easily fall."
He suddenly paused, and the pinch on Chloe’s face turned into a gentle caress.
Leaning down, he locked eyes with Chloe, his gaze turning dangerous, "If you skip meals to lose weight again, I’ll deal with you. Understand?"
His warning was so intimidating that Chloe immediately nodded repeatedly, like a chicken pecking rice.
Matthew was quite satisfied with her compliance, and his hand, originally caressing her face, moved to the top of her head and patted gently, "You can go."
Finally granted pardon, there was no hesitation in Chloe, she swiftly turned around and ran out.
She feared that if she was slow, Matthew might catch her again.
The way he tied her shoes just now... was so charming.
Chloe clutched her chest, as if that trembling sensation still lingered at her heart, accompanied by a tingling feeling she couldn’t quite describe.
It was as if touching a live wire, just a jolt. And that tingle disappeared so quickly, there wasn’t even time to think about what exactly it felt like.
"No need to overthink any feeling." Chloe muttered.
In the imperial city, Grandpa Morgan stood peerless.

Chloe went to the garage and drove out a red Beetle.
This was probably the cheapest car in the entire villa... but she liked it.
Chloe drove to the mall, initially intending to meet up with girlfriends, to stroll around and shop a bit to ease her mood.
After all, if she stayed at home all the time, unable to vent her sadness, she would become increasingly restless and unable to get out.
Chloe had barely taken a stroll around the mall and hadn’t even texted the dorm mates the address before she turned into a shop in the mall and couldn’t get out...
