Qin Yun almost immediately nodded in agreement, though she asked doubtfully, "Can you cook?"
Pei Yan recalled the steps he had seen and hesitantly said, "It shouldn’t be too hard."
Qin Yun looked somewhat skeptical, but still nodded, thinking it over, since she couldn’t cook at all.
Knowing that one piece wouldn’t be enough for Qin Yun, Pei Yan took two large steaks to grill.
Qin Yun saw this and moved closer to Pei Yan, looking at him with a newfound kindness, giving him a "this guy has potential" look.

Pei Yan’s initial movements were a bit clumsy, as this was the first time he had ever prepared something himself.
After cooking the steak, Pei Yan plated it and handed Qin Yun a pair of disposable chopsticks, his expression calm, though his dark eyes betrayed a hint of nervousness, "Try it."

Without hesitation, Qin Yun gave him a thumbs up, praising, "If you ever stop acting, you could become a chef at a western restaurant."
After saying this, she remembered Pei Yan’s status and quickly added, "Oh, no, even if you don’t act, you won’t go hungry. You might not be a chef, but if you like, you could still explore cooking, like making dishes for me."
Qin Yun pointed at herself at the end, her smile sweet.

After finishing the beef, Qin Yun started eating the grilled meat Pei Yan prepared.
To everyone, the two, seemingly mismatched in status, appeared bizarrely harmonious.
While others busily grilled nearby, Yang Leqi grilled sausages, pork belly, enoki mushrooms, and an eggplant, then sidled over to Qin Yun, "Sister Yun, I grilled these for you!"
"And me too, I have some more," Wang Sirui chimed in competitively as he joined.
Qin Yun looked at them blankly, "Aren’t you going to eat yourselves?"
"No more arguing, our grilling is almost done. Let’s eat together," the director chimed in.
The staff set the grilled food on the table. Although the live stream had ended, the filming continued.
Each person brought their food to the table, and from Pei Yan’s ’home,’ they took out the sponsor’s alcohol. Qin Yun and Yang Leqi were still drinking yogurt.

"You’re a grown man, arguing with a girl," Chen Yao said, feeling a headache coming on.

Besides, I’m only telling the truth, and if you don’t like it, that means you’re vain, only wanting to hear nice things," Yang Leqi argued confidently, feeling protected, as she stood with her hands on her hips.
"Why can’t I hear the truth? The show just started! Can’t I dream a little?!" Wang Sirui said, a bit sullen.
"Eat more grilled meat before they finish it," Qin Yun, oblivious, placed more grilled meat into Yang Leqi’s bowl.
At a table with such hearty appetites, the food barely lasted a moment once served. By the time Yang Leqi stopped arguing, the meat would’ve cooled.
"Thank you, Sister Yun." Yang Leqi obligingly sat back down, starting to eat the grilled meat.
Wang Sirui grinned cheekily and hinted, "Sister Yun, you can’t show favoritism."
Qin Yun paused in adding meat to her own bowl, pursed her lips, but eventually gave the meat to Wang Sirui.
"Thank you, Sister Yun." Wang Sirui grinned with delight.
Qin Yun tilted her head and found Pei Yan gazing directly at her with his deep eyes, eyebrows raised slightly.

Pei Yan’s gaze fell on the grilled meat in her bowl.

Qin Yun realized, lowering her voice, "You want some too?"
Pei Yan nodded slightly.
Speechless, Qin Yun looked at the only piece of meat left, hesitated a moment, before remembering Pei Yan had grilled meat for her earlier. Since he asked, it felt wrong not to give him any.
Reluctantly, Qin Yun placed the last piece of meat into Pei Yan’s bowl.
