Handsome B, relying on his exceptional gift of the gab, quickly found Kaelina’s residence. After knocking on the door, a blonde, blue-eyed girl immediately showed a strong interest in Handsome B, "Are you looking for me? Do you have a girlfriend?"
Shu was speechless. Just looking at Handsome B’s appearance and face, indeed, he was the kind that could easily make young girls smitten, "Excuse me, Miss Kaelina, I’m Ye Zifeng’s sister, my name is Ye Shu."
"Oh, so you’re Zifeng’s sister, hello, hello, please come in," Kaelina, while inviting them in, started tidying up the messy sofa, "I’m so sorry for the mess, the living room hasn’t been cleaned for some days. Would you like something to drink?"
"No need, Miss Kaelina, I’m just here to find Zifeng. He hasn’t been attending classes at the academy for several days now, and we’re worried he might have encountered some trouble."
"Is that so? I didn’t know he hasn’t been going to classes; we’re just roommates, not that kind of... that kind of..." Kaelina said, and suddenly, feeling embarrassed, she stuffed a Yell magazine under the throw pillow on the sofa.
Upon hearing this, Shu anxiously asked, "Then how many days has it been since he came back?"
Kaelina replied, "I’m not very sure about that, but I do know he must be off doing something big!"
Handsome B laughed, "Doing something big? What big thing? It wouldn’t be that he’s been brainwashed by the ISIS organization and plans to run off and become a terrorist, right?"
"Ah, that’s actually a possibility!" When Kaelina heard Handsome B say this, she remembered an incredible scene, "About five or six days ago, when I came back from outside, I heard Ye Zifeng in his room jumping and laughing, looking very excited! As if he had found some rare treasure."
Now Shu was completely panicked, "Where is his room?"
"Oh, it’s over here, follow me!" Kaelina led Shu and Handsome B into a room on the left.
Upon entering, Shu saw that the bedding on the bed was strewn about; books were neatly arranged on the desk, but the center of the desk was empty, as if something was missing.
"He only took his computer!" said Kaelina and then suddenly added, "I remember, for a while he was fixing up an old computer, that computer seemed to have been brought over from China, with all the systems in Chinese."
Shu gestured with her hands, asking, "Was it black and only this big?"
"Yes, that’s the one. The day I came back, it was that computer Ye Zifeng was so excitedly looking at, and then he said he had something big to do!"
"That’s the computer my dad left to me; I had him bring it with him. Could it be, he found something in the computer?" Shu mumbled to herself, reaching out to flip through the books on the desk, puzzled, "I sent him abroad to study business management, why does he have all these chemistry books here?"
Kaelina replied, "I know, he started out studying business management, but ever since he fixed the computer, he changed his major and is now pursuing a doctorate in chemistry!"
That’s when Shu had a realization, "No wonder the academy’s teachers said he had been missing lab classes; turns out it was because he changed majors. But why on earth does he want to pursue a doctorate in chemistry now?"
"What’s this?" Handsome B picked up an empty box from the floor and looked at the English on it, saying, "This is online purchased snow gear!"
"Snow gear?" said Kaelina, "Then he might have gone to Kule Mountain!"
Handsome B said, "Very likely, Kule Mountain is a famous skiing resort in New Jersey. But if he went skiing, what’s he doing with the laptop? Something’s not right!"
