In a coffee shop in Jin City, Sheng Shaochen met with An Zhe.
An Zhe laid a stack of photographs in front of Sheng Shaochen and said, "Ah Chen, these were taken by a private detective. I had originally sent them to find out about Lady Ye Shu’s mother’s whereabouts, but they unexpectedly discovered these."
Sheng Shaochen picked up the photographs and examined them closely, his expression turning grave, as the people captured in the photos all looked like bad news—either covered in tattoos or bearing numerous scars, and none of them locals. The locations in the shots were all secret passages used for illegal entry.
"I’ve got a bad feeling about this. First, two major corporations set up shop here, and now these desperadoes have arrived quietly. Someone must be brewing trouble. Ah Chen, Jin City is our turf; we can’t let them disturb the order."
Sheng Shaochen said, "I haven’t had the chance to thoroughly investigate the drop in the group’s stock prices. Seems like I need to find an opportunity to get the measure of our opponents and test their true strength."

Sheng Shuai was sweating profusely on the treadmill. Since becoming the CEO, he couldn’t remember the last time he had exercised so vigorously and freely like now. "Hey, little brother, keeping in good shape, aren’t you?" A woman boldly reached out her finger to touch the well-defined muscle lines on his back.
"Handsome, you’ve been running for quite a while. How about stopping for a bit, come have a drink with us and chat, what do you say?"
The women, with gleaming eyes, ogled the fit man clad only in boxer shorts, teasing him with their words.
"What are you all doing here? Not satisfied with how your own men look, you all come here trying to seduce someone else’s husband?" A woman, who had just changed into gym clothes, spoke up as she walked up to Sheng Shuai’s side, hands on hips, confronting the other women.
"Whatever, nothing to make a fuss over, let’s go find some other fun," the women grumbled, seeing the newcomer meant trouble, and reluctantly moved away.
Sheng Shuai turned and smirked, "So it’s you. You followed me here, what do you want?"
Song Xiaoxin stopped Sheng Shuai’s treadmill with a press of a button, "Can’t I look for you if there’s nothing wrong? We’ve known each other for over a decade. Why do you always have to be so cold to me?"
Sheng Shuai grabbed a bottle of mineral water, taking two large gulps, "Sorry, I really hadn’t thought of deliberately keeping my distance, it’s just that personally we didn’t get along."
"Just say outright that you don’t like my personality," Song Xiaoxin tossed her long hair over her shoulders, "But rest assured, even though you’re excellent, you’re actually not my type!"
Breathing heavily, Sheng Shuai asked, "Out with it, Miss. What do you want me to do for you?"
Song Xiaoxin replied, "There’s nothing I need your help with, just new in town and don’t have many friends, so I thought about integrating into your circle, how about that?"
"Integrating into my circle?" Sheng Shuai couldn’t help but become alert, "Who are you targeting?"
