After I Am died, You Tell Me This Is A Life Simulation? Chapter 21

Fang Han pondered for a moment, then gave a rather vague answer, smiling as he said, “Mm, there are indeed some things lately that I’ve been paying attention to.”

Cheng Lingsu pursed her pink lips slightly, eyes full of concern. “Brother Fang, is there anything I can help you with?”

Fang Han’s heart warmed. With a gentle smile, he teased, “You don’t even know what it is, and you’re already offering to help? Aren’t you afraid it might be something bad?”

“Anything Brother Fang does… can’t possibly be something bad,” Cheng Lingsu said with great seriousness.

Fang Han met her clear and bright eyes, and for a moment didn’t know what to say. Should I make up a little lie to get by? ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩✶𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚✶𝕟𝕖𝕥

But I also can’t tell the truth.

He could only sigh. “You trust me too much. It’s not something bad, really—it’s actually a good thing. So don’t worry.”

The Life Simulator was a secret only he could know.

No matter how close someone was, it wasn’t something he could explain.

Not to mention—how would he even explain it?

Talk of spirits and the supernatural?

Hearing that it wasn’t something bad, Cheng Lingsu’s worry finally eased. She smiled sweetly, her face even more radiant and lovely. “If it’s a good thing, then I’m relieved.”

Seeing Fang Han being vague, unwilling to say more…

…her heart inevitably sank a little.

Fang Han saw it all, and sighed inwardly. This little girl’s quite sensitive, isn’t she?

“You… don’t overthink.”

“These past few months, you’ve already helped me so much. I’ve seen it all, and kept it in my heart.”

That wasn’t just a polite remark.

It was Fang Han’s honest and heartfelt sentiment.

As his reputation spread, more and more people came to him for diagnosis and treatment.

Especially in the past month or two—despite his skill and familiarity, it had become difficult to manage.

Thankfully, Cheng Lingsu often came to help, resolving many issues.

Second, her medical skill over the past half year had genuinely amazed him.

Among the patients were those with obscure and difficult conditions—even ones he had no solution for. Yet in her hands, they were smoothly treated, and often cured at once.

Though due to her young age she lacked experience compared to him—in terms of pure medical technique, Fang Han admitted to himself that she far surpassed him.

This was no longer based on the original story or Elder Zhen’s praise—but something Fang Han now truly felt firsthand.

Moreover, the medical books she gifted him—Ling Shu, Su Wen, Classic of Acupuncture, and that handwritten notebook—he had read them almost daily over the past half year.

Many things he hadn’t understood before now became clear. More importantly, it completed his theoretical framework in medicine.

His current “proficient” level of medical knowledge stemmed mostly from Elder Zhen’s teachings, gained during the life simulation.

In his decades of experience, he had patched a few gaps, but it was scattered. His main framework still came from Elder Zhen—nothing compared to Cheng Lingsu, heir of the Medicine King’s legacy.

The books she gave him were far more complete than the portion of medical theory he originally possessed.

Their benefit to Fang Han was beyond doubt.

One could even say: critical.

Simply put: Fang Han’s previous knowledge was inherited from Elder Zhen. Though he had improved upon it with years of study, he remained limited within that framework.

Anything outside that system was his medical “blind spot.” Perhaps not entirely helpless, but lacking proper theory and targeted approaches.

But Cheng Lingsu’s gifted texts helped fill and complete that foundation—expanding the upper limits of his medical potential.

For example, the Classic of Acupuncture’s comprehensive theory on acupuncture techniques had greatly enlightened and inspired Fang Han.

It broadened his scope and approach in acupuncture treatment.

In addition, Cheng Lingsu would subtly and quietly pass on secret essentials of medicine to him.

Fang Han thought, If my skill panel weren’t so vague, I’d probably be seeing something like: “+1 XP, +1 XP, +1 XP” each time.

Even though his medical ability still showed “proficient” and his branches hadn’t changed, his practical skill was undoubtedly a level higher than a year ago—when he first returned.

All these overt and subtle acts of help and goodwill—Fang Han had taken note of them.

If it weren’t for the Life Simulator, he would’ve gladly shared everything with Cheng Lingsu.

But there’s no helping it.

She’s just… too good.

She treated him with heartfelt sincerity and endless warmth.

So good it left him a little overwhelmed—unworthy even.

Hearing Fang Han’s words, Cheng Lingsu’s cheeks flushed. She glanced at him, then lowered her eyes and said softly, “It’s nothing really. Being able to help makes me happy too…”

Fang Han looked at her and said nothing.

His mind returned to its thoughts.

As he stared at her, her face flushed even more, soft pink spreading across her cheeks.

The atmosphere… had become slightly delicate.

Old Zhen had just entered the clinic. With one glance inward, he immediately let out a surprised exclamation.

With a teasing look and an odd tone, he said, “Oh my, seems I came at a bad time, eh? Never mind, never mind. It’s not urgent anyway—you two just ignore me…”

And with that, he turned around and actually left.
