Seeing she didn’t want to go, Yu Cheng didn’t insist, “Okay, let’s go then. The movie is about to start.” The two headed to the cinema and again went to the place where they had sold sunflower seeds before.
While Yu Cheng was opening the bag of seeds, having gained some experience, Jiang Mianmian quickly started calling out to the passersby, “Sunflower seeds for sale, fresh roasted tasty and affordable sunflower seeds, even your partners will love them!”
Yu Cheng found it amusing, the little girl was quite cunning; he didn’t know where she had learned that from.
Several couples came over to ask about the price upon hearing her, and upon hearing that it wasn’t expensive, almost all of them bought a bowl.
Seeing others eating, the rest of the people also wanted some and the crowd buying the seeds became incessant.
With the crowd growing, the two divided the work, Yu Cheng scooped the seeds, and Jiang Mianmian was in charge of collecting the money.
At one point, a young man, seeing Jiang Mianmian was young and thinking she would be easy to fool, took a bowl of seeds and, after pretending to search his pockets, turned to leave.
But Jiang Mianmian was watching closely; she remembered clearly who had paid and who had not, and who took the seeds without paying.
Seeing the young man walking away with the seeds, she hurriedly called out to him, “Hey, the big brother in the gray jacket, you forgot to pay!”
Being young with a crisp voice, as soon as she spoke, everyone around buying seeds heard her.
The young man, looking at her innocent and youthful face, smiled awkwardly, “Sorry, the movie is about to start, I was in a hurry and forgot to pay. Here, little sister, here’s the money.”
Jiang Mianmian took the dime handed over by the young man, smiling brightly at him, “I knew big brother just forgot. A dime isn’t much, you wouldn’t intentionally not pay, right, big brother?”
“Of course not, hehe, well, I should head in now,” the young man said, and dashed off into the cinema as if chased by a dog.
But Yu Cheng said, “Little Lamb, brother wants to tell you, that man was definitely trying to get away without paying. If you hadn’t called him out, he would have definitely run off.”
He thought the little girl was too naive and if she wasn’t taught about the evils of human nature, she would be easily deceived in the future.
Jiang Mianmian, however, leaned close to his ear and whispered, “I know, but it’s okay as long as we got the money back, and there’s no need to offend him. If we had confronted him, and he had reported us in retaliation, wouldn’t that have been a big loss?”
Looking at her earnest little expression, Yu Cheng raised his eyebrows, slightly surprised, “I didn’t expect you, young as you are, to think so much.”
Jiang Mianmian’s expression became even more serious, and she pompously said, “I learned it all from my dad. My dad says when doing business outside, the more friends you have, the better. It’s best not to offend people unless absolutely necessary.”
Seeing that such a tiny girl was acting like a little adult, Yu Cheng felt like laughing but also found it somewhat adorable.
After selling all the seeds, fearing Uncle Jiang would not find them later, Yu Cheng didn’t wander off but it was very cold outside, so he directly led Jiang Mianmian into the cinema.

Since they entered late, the front rows were all full, only the last two rows had empty seats.
